“ Visitors to our booth will also see our V807 robotic coping machine as well as the Voortman Fabricator for automated welding and the MO classic pipe-cutting machine ,” he added .
In June this year , the company launched its Voortman V623 steel drilling , milling and sawing machine designed for continuous , unmanned operation .
“ The V623 can handle a very wide range of profiles , producing them efficiently with a logical output sequence that maximizes cross-transport use . The innovative gripper truck virtually eliminates clamping limitations , allowing for the automatic loading of almost any profile without the need for operator intervention or weld-ons ,” explained Rutger Voortman .
“ Advanced VACAM control software provides full visibility of all buffers on the infeed , outfeed and short product removal , enabling seamless management of the entire process ,” he added , confirming that the company has already installed several of these machines in Europe . Voortman also uses the machine in its own manufacturing operations .
Moving forward
As well as launching new machines , Voortman is continuously pushing forward on the technical and service sides .
“ We want to keep growing our service and after-sales network worldwide to better serve our customers . We must always create value for our end customers through our solutions and software . We will further develop our software and automation solutions for machines like ‘ The Fabricator ’, our automated fitting / welding robot . We will also continue developing the new V353 fibre laser machine with , for example , other modules and higher power laser sources ,” confirmed Rutger Voortman .
The company is also working on new service products such as optimising its web shops and tool vendor systems . However , underpinning each new machine that it develops are the software and Big Data systems that support it . “ We have moved on from just selling machines now ,” outlined Rutger Voortman . “ Industry 4.0 is about understanding and modelling a full line from A-Z , including supply chain , not just offering a single machine . This enables customers to streamline their entire production process . It ’ s about the intelligence in and around the machine , the production flow , service , machine uptimes – the entire holistic process involved . That includes analysing and applying learnings from gathered machine data ,” he told ISMR .
The company will be exhibiting at FABTECH ( Orlando , USA ) and EuroBLECH ( Hanover , Germany ) this October . It will also be at MAKTEK Eurasia in Turkey , MSV BRNO in Czechia and the Tech Industry exhibition in Latvia later this year .
“ We are also running an internal Open House event in the DACH region at the end of November . We already offer training , technology and educational webinars to customers through our website and will be releasing more of these webinars next year ,” concluded Rutger Voortman . n
