At AGIC , visitors can see an EGB 6020 pressbrake with auto tool-changer and a tablet HMI to warn operators of safety issues and portray an Augmented Reality view via a back-gauge monitor camera which can superimpose the outline of a part onto three back-gauge fingers . Voice control enables the machine to start bending or to make any corrections . Visitors can also put on a headset and speak directly ( in a variety of languages ) with the tablet HMI and voice control system in a separate demonstration area .
A small 60-ton , 1.3m robotic press brake ,
with an expanded automatic tool changing system and conveyors , has three trolleys at the front for external job set-up to reduce machine downtime . Visitors can see it bend a tiny demonstration part at AGIC .
“ A larger 130-ton robotic press brake incorporates a tool changer and AMADA smart loading device . The camera examines a pallet of parts to determine the correct orientation of the parts , which is then handled by a gantry robot . This also checks each part and drops any doubled-up parts into a separate drawer to keep the system running and prevent any downtime . In the bending technology centre , there are also various interactive demonstration systems such as the inline angle-measurement system and AMADAdesigned loading carts for vertical and flat loading ,” confirmed Matt Wood .
