DIEFFENBACHER and its subsidiary , Jung Werkzeugbau , will showcase metalforming solutions at Blechexpo 2023 in Stuttgart , Germany ( 7-10 November 2023 ), in Hall 4 on stand 4120 ( the stand co-hosted by Wirtschaftsförderung Raum Heilbronn ). Its joint system solutions with sustainable energy concepts offer fully automated hydraulic press lines and associated tool technology .
As a manufacturer of press systems , DIEFFENBACHER enables the production of efficient heat exchangers that are used in various sustainable energy-generating solutions . The efficiency of a plate heat exchanger is determined by , among other things , the accuracy of the embossing depth . Using its multi-cylinder concept and solid frame design , the DIEFFENBACHER embossing press compensates for the deflection of the ram and table , for parallel closing under pressure . The result , said the company , is “ optimum component quality without any underlaying of the moulds .”
Visitors to the DIEFFENBACHER booth will also see various solutions for saving materials and energy . With extensive diagnostic options , the EVORIS digitalisation platform helps plant operators to save energy and raw materials . Special software also simulates the process of all forming stages .
“ Our TailoredPress can reduce energy use up to 70 %, depending upon the application . A variable-speed pump drives minimizes unnecessary energy consumption which can occur , for example , during loading and unloading , set-up and maintenance of the press , and even in many phases of the normal press cycle . Control is fully automatic . The operator sets forces , paths and parameters as usual , and the required speed is automatically calculated and set ,” explained DIEFFENBACHER .
The two companies also offer press lines for stainless steel forming . For example , the multi-point drawing system Multi- Point-Control ( MPC ) allows the production of complex geometries through targeted control of the material flow for design freedom . MPC is used in the production of kitchen sinks and similar applications . n

The new Flex Cell is an automation solution for TRUMPF ’ s TruBend 7050 machine . In a few simple steps , an operative can dock the mobile robot cell onto the bending machine for automatic operation . The machine will then run autonomously for several hours . This , said sheet-metal specialist TRUMPF , helps companies to handle order surges and combat shortages of skilled labour .
TRUMPF is launching the Flex Cell at the Blechexpo exhibition in Stuttgart , Germany ( 7-10 November 2023 ), on its stand 1404 in Hall 1 .
“ The TruBend 7050 is our fastest bending machine ,” said TRUMPF product manager , Wolfgang Radler . “ With the Flex Cell , we ’ re offering users a fast and simple solution to automate this machine . This shows once again that we are focusing on customers ’ needs .”
Together with the Flex Cell , the TruBend 7050 has a footprint of under 10 square metres and a double-sized material buffer . This ensures that it has enough material to feed the TruBend 7050 throughout a night shift .
“ A vacuum combination gripper on the robot arm enables fast and safe loading and unloading . Using TRUMPF TecZone Bend software , a bending program can be created in just a few seconds . The operative is then able to program the robot using an app and the teach panel . This makes the TruBend 7050 quick and easy to set up . Thanks to automatic double-sheet detection , the Flex Cell is also able to recognize if unprocessed material has stuck together during loading and then eject it . This reduces rejects and saves resources ,” explained TRUMPF .
