CIDAN Machinery Group focuses strongly on R & D , technology development and continuous innovation . Its CEO and sales director outline its latest acquisitions , key strategic objectives and market aspirations to ISMR .
CIDAN ’ s success story began in 1907 in the Swedish municipality of Götene , picturesquely situated between Europe ’ s third and sixth largest lakes – Vänern and Vättern . Today , the CIDAN Machinery Group is a full-range supplier of sheet-metal machinery and control solutions for multiple industries . Its acquisition in March 2022 of Swiss folding specialist , Thalmann Maschinenbau AG , has added another company to the Group that includes CIDAN Machinery Austria GmbH ( formerly coil-processing line specialist , Forstner Maschinenbau GmbH ) and nuIT GmbH ( which manufactures control software ). CIDAN itself ( formerly Göteneds ) specialises in sheet-metal folders , shearing systems and rollformers .
The Group has a total of 300 global employees , with around 100 of those based at its headquarters in Götene , Sweden . It operates manufacturing locations in Sweden , Switzerland and Austria , with office locations in several European countries , the United States and China . With a brand message of “ Shaping Tomorrow ’ s World ”, a strong focus is placed on R & D , technology development and continuous innovation .
“ We offer individual and future-oriented machine and software solutions , for every size of company and every need , from a single source ,” it told ISMR .
Integrating new expertise
The integration of Thalmann Maschinenbau AG in March 2022 added another strong brand to the Group ’ s portfolio . Thalmann has been a pioneer in the development and manufacture of long-length , metal folding machines since 1960 . CIDAN ’ s strategy is to become a “ onestop partner ” for sheet-metal companies of all sizes .
