New moves at General Motors
General Motors has appointed Jack Uppal as President and Managing Director , GM Africa & Middle East ( GM AMEO ).
Effective from November 2022 , current President and Managing Director , GM Africa & Middle East , Luay Al Shurafa , will transition to take on the role of vice president of vehicle sales , service and marketing , GM China and SAIC-GM . Al Shurafa replaces Mike Devereux who has been named vice president of digital for GM International and will repatriate to the United States .

The Supervisory Board of BENTELER International AG has appointed Dr . Tobias Braun , managing director and chief financial officer ( CFO ) of BENTELER Steel / Tube GmbH , as the new CFO of the BENTELER Group . He assumed the position on 1 September 2022 . Braun will also continue in his role as managing director and CFO of BENTELER Steel / Tube .
Frank Jehle handed the mantle to his internal successor and left the company on 31 August 2022 . The financial expert , with many years of experience in the automotive industry , was appointed to the Executive Board by the BENTELER Group in September 2020 .
Ralf Göttel , BENTELER Group CEO , commented : “ With Tobias Braun , an experienced leader from our own ranks is taking over the important position of CFO of the BENTELER Group . Over the past four years , Tobias has successfully implemented the transformation of the Steel / Tube Division in a dynamic market and made an important contribution to the overarching transformation strategy of the BENTELER Group .”

BENTELER is investing , amongst other areas , in e-mobility . This includes projects such as the expansion of the BENTELER e-mobility location in Schwandorf , the planned production of its people-mover and the targeted expansion of lightweight construction expertise .
“ The focus on sustainability will also be further intensified . The Steel / Tube Division will , therefore , continue to focus on the decarbonisation of steel tube production ,” it told ISMR .

BLM Group USA announces new RSM
BLM Group USA , a specialist in the manufacture of tube and flat sheet processing solutions , has announced the appointment of Michael Adelman as its regional sales manager ( RSM ) for Alabama , Mississippi , Georgia and Florida ( USA ). He will be responsible for developing sales and customer relations in those states .
“ Adelman has spent 11 years in the automotive industry , originally starting as a dealer salesperson and spending the last five years in management positions . His experience as a certified trainer and sales manager translates well into his role of BLM Group RSM . He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland ,” said the company .
BLM Group ’ s product line includes lasertube and flat sheet cutting ; cold sawing ; bending ; end-forming ; end-machining and wirebending machines . The company has more than 60 years of experience and thousands of applications in the development of tube and sheet-metal fabrication equipment .
With headquarters in Italy , the North American facility in Novi , Michigan , provides tube-processing solutions to the United States , Canada and Mexico . n
