Blank punching solutions

Pivatic has expanded its product portfolio to include flexible integrated sheet metal blank punching solutions . Its offering now also includes storage solutions from Remmert ( www . remmert . de ); the integrated PivaPunch PCB ( Punching Centre for Blanks ) sheet punching centre ; PivaBend bending lines ; flexible Pivatic MPB ( Multitool Panel Bender ) benders and RAS ( www . ras-systems . com ) panel bending solutions .
A general focus for Pivatic has been to increase production line flexibility where
In the future , advances in digitalisation and automation will also change welding production processes . Particularly for the manual welding of classic sheet metal components , says Demmeler , new welding technology using collaborative robots can relieve valuable skilled workers of tiring routine and repetitive tasks .
“ With our COBOT WeldSpace 4.0 , even small and medium-sized companies are guaranteed a quick start in automated and professional welding production thanks to rapid commissioning and extremely simple programming . Whether it is individual parts , series or small batch sizes with a large variety of parts , they can save time in welding and reworking . The fully equipped welding cell with welding robot and welding technology offers modularity and flexibility in the smallest possible space with four workspaces : SPACE A , A1-A2 and Space B . The COBOT WeldSpace 4.0 can be operated and programmed without welding expertise ,” said Demmeler .
The automatic movement of the enclosure from Space A to Space B by 900mm creates around 3m ² of additional working space and enables work to be carried out in shuttle mode . While the robot is welding on one side , the operator ( protected by retractable roller doors with aluminium armour and
smaller batches and kit production is possible with minimum set-up times or a buffer storage between process stages . Punched and bent parts sit next to each other during the working process and are automatically transported to the next process stage .
Sheet metal blanks can be produced on the PivaCut blanking line before reaching the punching machine . The PivaCut line features coil storage , decoiler , straightener and shear for longitudinal cutting .
“ For manufacturing rectangular parts , the

integrated welding protection glass ) can set up and re-clamp on the DEMMELER 3D welding table on the other side in parallel ( two-station operation ). Further division of workspace Space A into A1 and A2 , by means of a partition , can even create an additional workstation ( three-station operation ).
“ Optionally , Space B can be equipped with a new type of two-axis manipulator . For the best welding result , the powerful two-axis manipulator positions the workpieces ( weighing up to 500kg ) in the trough position and without re-clamping . Thanks to the manipulator ' s rotary axis , even circumferential seams can be welded without problems ,” concluded Demmeler . Meet the company at Blechexpo in

PivaCut Cut-to-Size solution shears all edges of the blank . This way , any possible camber is removed and the sheet cross dimensions are accurate . It is also optional to include dynamic and / or parametric sheet nesting with a solution like this ,” Pivatic told ISMR .
Applications for integrated Pivatic line solutions include steel doors ; cable ducts ; elevator doors ; façade claddings ; electrical enclosures and HVAC parts . Meet Pivatic at Blechexpo in Stuttgart this October in Hall 1 , stand 1108 . n

Smoothing the way

TotalEnergies and AMADA Europe , a leading manufacturer of machine tools for the sheet metal industry , have signed a partnership for the supply of original equipment lubricants to AMADA Europe ’ s plants as well as a range of AMADA-branded lubricants . The partnership will last for five years and will cover 14 countries in Europe .
TotalEnergies ’ lubricants department in France has been supplying part of the original equipment oils to AMADA ’ s main plant in Europe at Château-du-Loir since 2016 .
“ This partnership is in line with the Group ’ s strategy and its ongoing commitment to provide all its customers with an even higher level of service and product quality . TotalEnergies ’ lubricants meet all the requirements of the Japanese quality standards on which the manufacture of AMADA machines is based ,” concluded Jean-François Vanier , Managing Director , AMADA Europe SA .
The AMADA EUROPE SA factories manufacture the majority of AMADA machines sold in Europe – laser cutting , punching , bending and welding machines . These two production sites , with more than 300 employees , are at Château-du-Loir in the Sartre region and in Charleville-Mézières in the Ardennes , France . n
