Erbend , which manufactures different types and models of folders , is based in Bursa ( Turkey ). Erbend folders have been exported and used in USA , Canada , Sweden , France , Germany , U . K ., Poland , Greece , Belgium , Netherlands .
Folder models include MFB , MFD and MFC motorised folders as well as the MFD combi motorised folder . This line of folders are suitable for the small model shop to light gauge roofing ; H . V . A . Jorns AG is a Swiss manufacturer of folders , double folders , compact strip cutting lines , rounding machines as well as accessories used for processing sheet metal . Its customers mainly work in roofing or architectural sheet metal . Products range from simple NCcontrolled machines to sophisticated CNCcontrolled sheet metal bending systems and a J-Bend app , functional on tablets and mobile phones , to support the management and production of sheet metal profiles . In 2016 , the company also launched its own CP200 touchscreen control panel .
Jorns uses control technology that allows users to measure , control and position clamping arms individually , and to keep them in position during bending . The clamping force exerted on the part remains even during the bending process : this reduces , or can eliminate , significant over-bending at the ends of profiles .

You can then produce bending profiles without turning them around or over – with an array of possible profile variations . Several parallel , tapered or overlapped profiles can be bent simultaneously , an innovation that increases the speed of an operator ’ s work ,” Jorns told ISMR .
“ The use of servo-technology , the automatic loading and unloading table as well as the individually driven clamping fingers allow maximum precision , flexibility and productivity . Thanks to two bending tools , material handling has also been drastically reduced . The consistent calculation of processing and stop positions according to the ‘ Shorten bending according to DIN 6935 ’ method , intuitive graphic programming , high levels of angular accuracy and the uniformly closed water folds are all an integral part of the JDB ,” it added .

The semi-automatic Jorns JB folder can be configured in lengths of 3.2-12.2 metres with a bending capacity for sheet metal of up to 3mm .
JPS Machinery ’ s hydraulic long beam folding machine produces building , roofing and cladding products in folded lengths of 3000mm up to 12000mm ( material thicknesses of 0.7mm to 3mm ). Products include flashings , cleats , lapping joints , standing seam / flatlock panels , rounds , hems , open hem profiles etc .
With an in-built shear , long folded arms can be ‘ trimmed ’ from 3000mm up to 12000mm , without requiring a second operation . This is suitable for thinner sheet material of between 0.5 and 0.8mm .
UK-based Morgan Rushworth offers a range of manual , hydraulic and CNC folders . Its HBP hydraulic box and pan folder uses an easily adjustable manual angle setting device . Clamping and bending is controlled by a joystick or foot pedal or combination of the two , allowing easy positioning of the material for folding .
Its ESR range of CNC folders are designed to produce fast , accurate and consistent folded parts . Available in 1.5m to 4.2m bending lengths , all models are supplied with a 1m-powered back gauge , with optional longer back gauges ( including U- and L -shaped configurations ). All ESR models are supplied with a straight rail with optional high divided tools for box and panel-type operations . “ Our EXR range of CNC folders are manufactured with a rotating upper beam with one straight rail and one set of high divided tools that can both be utilised in the same folding program without any manual tool change . This versatile design enables high accuracy , high consistency levels and high productivity as there is only one initial tool setup to carry out . This is ideal for many folding operations , including rectangular panel work with return edges to the four sides ,” said the manufacturer .
