Innovation at ITM Industry Europe
The buzz of business and the sound of working machines returned to the MTP Poznań Expo halls in Poland at the four-day ITM Industry Europe exhibition ( 31 August - 3 September 2021 ).
Over 340 exhibitors from Poland and overseas showcased their products and services during this year ’ s edition of the ITM Industry Europe event and the accompanying Modernlog Trade Fair of Logistics , Transport and Storage ; 3D Solutions − 3D Printing and Scanning Fair ; Subcontracting Industrial Cooperation Fair and FOCAST Foundry Forum . This year , companies could promote themselves with a stand in the exhibition hall or try a new tool − an online meeting platform .
“ It was an exciting four-day event ! We enjoyed such a large turnout . We know from conversations with exhibitors that this year ’ s visitors were former professionals who knew exactly what they were looking for and why they visited the exhibition . We are already receiving signals about contracts finalised at the fair and many promising business relationships . We are already starting to work with even more energy on the next edition of the show ,” commented Anna Lemańska- Kramer , director of ITM Industry Europe .
“ The platform was used by over one thousand people who actively participated in online meetings and conferences . This shows the potential of this solution ,” added Barbara Kamińska , coordinator of the event ’ s online meeting platform .
Congress and awards
The two-day Industry Next Congress ( Grupa MTP ) during the event highlighted the most important trends in the technological transformation of companies . Among the speakers were innovation specialists such as Microsoft Polska ; ABB ; Fanuc Polska ; Siemens ; Northvolt Poland and Polpharma . The discussion was also attended by Olga Ewa Semeniuk , Undersecretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology , Government Plenipotentiary for Small and Medium Enterprises , and Tadeusz Kościński , Minister of Finance , Funds and Regional Policy , Poland .
The issue of digital transformation of manufacturing companies was addressed on the second day of the Congress by experts invited to the Industry Next Workshop , supported by the Poznań Science and Technology Park and Poznań
Supercomputing and Networking Centre . On the Microsoft Polska stand , visitors could enter the world of augmented reality by testing the Microsoft HoloLens .
Twelve MTP Gold Medals this year were awarded to modern solutions presented during the exhibition . Eleven of them went to the exhibitors at ITM Industry Europe , one was given to an exhibitor at the Modernlog fair . Winners included an autonomous disinfecting robot , a remotely managed 3D printer and a mobile stand for testing the properties of liquid metals . One of the acclaimed products was the hybrid core of the electric motor used in the heart support pump created by the Prof . Zbigniew Religa Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze .
The winner of the Golden Medal Consumers ’ Choice competition was the ultrasonic spray washing chamber with a rotating basket from ULTRON Zakład Urządzeń Elektronicznych Krzysztof Krankowski , winning 42 % of the votes . In addition to gold medallists , there were also exhibitors who celebrated anniversaries at the event , such as the 20th anniversary celebrations of DIG ŚWITAŁA .
Rolling and walking robots , dynamic production processes , intelligent solutions for enterprises – these were showcased in the Smart Factory zone . This was where companies that automate the industrial world could present their flagship offers . It was also a space for start-ups that can revolutionise the work of manufacturing
companies . It included innovations such as Mab Robotics ’ walking robots .
Logistics in focus
Held alongside ITM Industry Europe , the MODERNLOG Trade Fair of Logistics , Transport and Storage took place in Hall 6 . This year , the event attracted visitors interested in solutions for the optimisation of logistics processes , supply chain management as well as automation and robotisation in the warehouse .
Live machine demonstrations in the In4Log zone were also popular . Krzysztof Pograniczny , the head of this project , confirmed that visitors were primarily interested in purchases , solutions and technology . A modern warehouse , the Smart Warehouse , was the subject of a twoday industry conference organised as part of the Modernlog fair . The meeting , which featured four discussion panels on automation , robotisation , internal transport technology and digitisation , attracted a large audience .
Subcontracting and 3D printing
The SUBCONTRACTING Industrial Cooperation Fair attracted a large group of exhibitors and visitors looking for new business contacts . They participated in pre-arranged meetings in the Subcontracting Meetings zone or online . The fair was accompanied by a two-day seminar organised in cooperation with the Metal Processing Cluster − the Key Cluster and the Cinnomatech Innovative Technologies Cluster .
Speakers discussed the principles of effective cooperation and building competitive advantages in overseas markets .
Those interested in the potential of additive technologies attended the 3D Solutions fair . New products , such as scanners or 3D printers , were displayed as were special shows and workshops .
ITM Industry Europe next year will be held from 31 May to 3 June 2022 . n
