It featured an angle measurement system, hydraulic clamping, CNC front support and a tool station.
Aliko’ s modular press brakes are used in various sectors worldwide including mining; wind power; beam production; construction; transportation and defence.
A clear vision
Stanislav Demin has a clear vision for the company and laid out his business philosophy for Aliko Oy to ISMR.
“ Since 2016, our company has been increasingly focused on its core expertise: product development, design and lifecycle services for medium-sized and large pressbrakes. We are constantly striving to meet the changing needs of the sheet-metalworking industry. We specialise in press brakes with bending lengths of 3000mm and bending force of 220 tons or above,” he explained.

“ For us, flexibility is key. We offer standard and customised press brakes and build the machines in a modular way so that we can add whatever equipment is needed. Service is very important, including rapid reaction time. We outsource to local Finnish job shops, according to Finnish tradition. This give us production flexibility,” he added.
Demin has also developed a steady strategic and technical focus for Aliko.
“ Our business development strategy is to establish strong sales partnerships in different countries. We are currently looking for sales agents in some European countries, including Germany. We want to increase our business levels in Europe but not by too much— we do not want growth levels that are too high( sustainable growth is always better). It is also important to set in place proper service networks to support and service our customers’ needs,” he told ISMR.
“ In terms of technology, we have invested

Design your own press brake

FACE TO FACE

For users who have ever wished to design the right press brake for them, Aliko now provides the means for them to achieve this. Rather than an app that needs to be downloaded, the press brake specialist has created an easy-to-use configurator that opens to a browser window.
“ First, a user should decide the size of the press brake that they require. Is it 4m-long and under 500 tons? If so, let’ s start with our F-Series model. Or are they looking for a press brake that is over 6m-long and under 750 tons? In that case, our Heavy-Duty frame is the right choice. Or perhaps their choice is for the largest and strongest press brake in our portfolio? In that case, they should choose the Aliko Giant,” the manufacturer told ISMR.
“ All Aliko press brake modules and auxiliary equipment are listed in the configurator. All the data needed for making the most suitable choices can easily be found there too. If there is a feature missing that a user wishes to incorporate into their press brake design, we can consult with them on this,” added Aliko.
After clicking through the choices in the configurator, users receive an electronic summary that is then forwarded to Aliko’ s team as a request for quotation( RFQ).
“ It’ s as easy and simple as that,” concluded Aliko.
Heavy-duty press brake operations. significantly in tooling and accessories for press brakes. The tool station on our pressbrake here on the stand is an example. Increased productivity on press brakes is important for our customers and rapid tool change contributes to this. We have also developed a laser angle measurement system and a special, adjustable crowning system for the press brakes. Our core strengths have always been innovative product development, exceptional design and flexibility,” he added.
With sustainability in mind, Aliko Retrofit offers a solution for improving the usability of aging, but structurally sound, press brakes or guillotine. It provides machine-tool upgrades using components that are often the same as those used in new machine production. This approach, says Demin, maximizes performance while extending the lifespan of existing machinery.
