“ Thanks to the special magnetic table , it is possible to deburr and brush steel rectangular tubes , guardrails and steel sheet in all sizes . The machines feature several types of brushes . One is better suited for flat parts , the other for parts with embossing ,” it continued .
The machines are designed to be very userfriendly , According to Timesavers , anyone can set up the touchscreen panel and operate the machine after brief instructions .
“ Ludo particularly likes the function allowing users to save programmes . With one minor step , users can bring up the settings of a previously made product and can immediately start production ,” added Timesavers .

A turnkey solution
The installation chosen by Steel Constructions consists of a deburring machine , a return table , a turnover unit , a second deburring machine and a powerful dust extractor . This arrangement was chosen for its ability to deburr and grind steel to the precise radius required , without overheating the material .
The turnover unit ensures that Hage and his colleagues turn a product as little as possible ( steel rectangular tubes , that are machined on four sides , just need one turn ). This , said Timesavers , is a huge benefit , considering that some parts are up to six metres long and therefore very heavy .
“ For smaller material , we have another solution ; anything less than 400 x 400mm cannot pass through the turnover unit . Those parts are transported back with a return table ,” added Ludo Vermeulen .
The operator takes off the small parts and puts them back on the transport table for deburring of the other side . Large parts of up to six metres are placed on the roller table at the beginning . Those pass through the first Timesavers 42RB . The turnover unit then turns the product over and the second Timesavers 42RB machine processes the other side . The belt then transports the product to the end of the line , where a forklift collects it .
Counting the benefits
The set-up has increased productivity and ensured cleaner and safer working conditions at Steel Constructions . The Timesavers machines ’ dust extraction system significantly reduces the release of dust and particles , improving the work environment for operators .
“ As a result , we have seen productivity increases with fewer people ,” explained Marco Hage . “ However , just as importantly , production is cleaner for the employees . We can achieve a good radius for the customers

and the product is super-clean before it goes to the welder . If the product has to be galvanised , the zinc layer will also adhere better ,” he continued .
He confirmed that he is very satisfied with machine maintenance .
“ As a maintenance engineer , I have very little to do on the Timesavers ’ line . Once , someone accidentally bumped into a sensor which I had to realign . Other than that , I have had very little maintenance to perform on the line . I am happy about that , because I have plenty of other work to keep me busy ,” he smiled .
