utilise Augmented Reality to enable operators to visually identify good and bad parts or to identify if particular features ( such as holes ) are missing . It is a very useful feature and our customers really like it . As I mentioned earlier , the Guidance & Verification system also utilises AI learning .
As engineers , we want to embrace new technologies but we need to do it in a way that does not compromise cyber security or make processes overly complex . Widespread adoption of these technologies will depend largely upon the cost of implementation .
ISMR : How is InspecVision handling sustainability in both its products and its organisation ( including carbon footprint calculations etc .)?
JA : As long-term energy costs continue to be a concern , we have just installed a new solar system with battery storage at our premises in Northern Ireland . We hope that , even in the winter , we can become carbon neutral for at least a few days per week .
Our machines are inexpensive to run and durable , so they are built to last . They use energy-efficient LED lights .
We design our products to be modular so we can keep most of our older machines up to date . This helps our customers to achieve their sustainability goals .
