However , I must stress that customers need to invest additional money into eco-friendly machines . They need to be ready for this change and these solutions must be accepted by the market to become more widespread .

PS : Despite the slower situation in European sheet metal markets , EuroBLECH in Hanover has been a great show for us . We received several new orders and took part in some great meetings , that we are now following up .

not just for large companies ; this also applies to smaller companies dealing with smaller batches / quantities who wish to automate their production . It is a tough challenge , and I believe that some jobs may still have to be done by hand .
The trend in manufacturing is to make components that are lighter in weight , use less material , conserve resources and integrate functionality ( i . e . thinner sheet structures ).
The biggest change I see , in the copper bar arena , is that materials are becoming thicker . We are being asked to punch 20mm copper now . Luckily , we have great tools from our partner , Pass Stanztechnik in Germany , that enable our machines to do this . www . steelburner . com

ISMR : How are you handling sustainability in your products and organisation ?

PS : For our press brakes , we are moving more towards hybrid machines ( that save more electricity ), rather than hydraulic systems . Customers can also buy completely electric shears from Boschert Gizelis to process up to 6mm steel .
In our production area , we produce machines almost completely in-house which saves our overall CO₂ emissions . We are also incorporating energy-saving measures into our new production hall .
