Uwe Keiter joins VDMA ’ s main Board
Rockwell Automation , Inc ., with a focus on industrial automation and digital transformation , has announced that Uwe Keiter , managing director and OEM sales director of Rockwell Automation in Germany , was recently elected to the main Board of the VDMA ( machinery and plant engineering industry association in Germany ).
“ It is a great honour and responsibility , for Rockwell Automation and myself , to have been elected to the VDMA main Board ,” said Keiter . “ The machinery and plant engineering industry is facing major challenges . We can contribute our expertise in automation , digitalisation and artificial intelligence to help shape the future of German industrial production engineering and therefore strengthen the industry ’ s competitiveness .”
The election took place on 11 October 2024 , during the VDMA general assembly .
“ Keiter has many years of experience in the automation industry and a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities of digitalisation in the industry . His priorities will include driving digital transformation in manufacturing , fostering a highly skilled automation technology workforce and enabling sustainable production through the integration of intelligent technologies ,” outlined Rockwell Automation .

Gustavo Zecharies as its president for the Europe , Middle East and Africa ( EMEA ) region . Zecharies will report to Scott Genereux , SVP and Chief Revenue Officer , and succeeds Susana Gonzalez , who leaves Rockwell to pursue other opportunities .
In this role , based in Spain , Zecharies will lead and provide strategic direction for sales , services and solutions in the EMEA region with a focus on growing the original equipment manufacturer segment , which accounts for a significant portion of the region ’ s business .
