new coil-cutting lines can process aluminium and high-tensile steel . It has installed many of these lines across Europe .
Its latest developments incorporate automatic coil-change on its lines and a new SMART HMI control panel , as well as a new straightener-feeder unit with electronic pilot release that can reach 110 strokes / min . with a step of 300mm . ISMR sat down with Ottavio Albini , Sales and Marketing Manager , Asservimenti Presse Srl , at the Blechexpo / Schweisstec exhibition this November to discuss how industry developments are affecting the lines designed by the company .
Network for success
“ Since 1989 we have been designing complete lines for sheet metalworking and press automation . These include traditional feeding lines , featuring three machines with simple or double decoilers , straighteners and feeders . We also supply compact feeding lines , featuring two machines with simple or double decoilers and electronic straightener-feeder units . Customers also source other machines from us such as welding machines and cutto-length systems . We now feature automatic coil-change on our coil-processing lines and we have introduced a new SMART HMI control panel , as well as a new straightener-feeder unit ,” Ottavio Albini told ISMR .
“ Blechexpo / Schweisstec is a very interesting and important exhibition for us . We are pleased with our stand position and it ’ s a great showcase for us to promote our new machines / lines that make parts for electric cars . Last year , we built lots of these types of lines . Personal contact and face-to-face relationships with customers , for example at exhibitions like this , are extremely important in a world where technology and automation have taken centre stage . We value our personal connections with customers ; you can ’ t do

everything on MS Teams and email ,” he continued .
From the beginning , Asservimenti Presse ’ s philosophy was to produce easy-to-operate , customised lines ‘ Made in Italy ’ working with steel and aluminium to counter the increasing skills and technician shortages in global markets . It offers remote monitoring capability on all its equipment and now has around 4000 machines operating in Europe , 40 in Asia , 30 in the U . S . and 20 in Africa . Its relationships with customers are longstanding and based on collaboration and knowledge sharing . “ Many of our Tier 1 , 2 and 3 customers
Coil processing line . don ’ t just have one line ; some may have thirty lines or more . We collaborate with customers and other suppliers on building and customising lines for high-quality , rapid production and advise them , on an ongoing basis , to help with whatever they need . We want to grow with our customers and build strong relationships . You will find our machinery and equipment in a range of global industry sectors ( automotive , agricultural , white goods , door / window production etc .),” added Ottavio Albini .
Meeting new challenges
Asservimenti Presse is working more now on coil lines to process lightweight materials ( such as high-strength steels , copper and aluminium ) with quick changeover times . Coil-processing trends , in general , are pointing towards smaller , relatively uncomplicated lines that guarantee rapid changeovers . Albini has seen the increasing adoption of servo technology in many of these lines , as customers opt for more control and better productivity on their lines .
The move to electric and hybrid systems in the automotive market sector , as well as the prevalence of individual electric motors in cars , has seen the company ’ s business grow . More of its lines are producing components for electric motors in cars for its customers .
Short changeover times help to ensure greater efficiency and productivity . Albini also
