He confirmed that supply-chain issues had affected the company , like many manufacturers , since May 2021 ( for deliveries of microchips ; motors ; drives ; filters etc .).
“ However , the situation has eased and we can now try to shorten our delivery times ,” he continued . “ Remote servicing and maintenance of machines has also become more important since the pandemic . Some countries are further along than others in this respect .”
He confirmed that SafanDarley is still developing future technologies such as Augmented Reality ( AR ).
“ We have experimented with AR glasses in the past ( the SafanDarley Eye , using the Hololens ) and we are still developing this technology but with artificial intelligence ( AI ) and cameras . We are also working on technologies such as Virtual Reality , simulation and Digital Twin . Virtual Reality is used in our robotisation software , specifically for the robot arms . We have our eyes firmly fixed on the future ,” he smiled . n
