AUTOMATE TO ACCUMULATE
Dutch systems integrator AWL is making the business case for automation , even for small batches , with a new cobot welding cell .

Next steps in automation
At this October ’ s EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover , Germany , AWL was promoting the ‘ next step ’ in automation for manufacturers on its booth .
“ It may be that a manufacturer wants to automate as a next step or is already automating and wants to go further . The machine on our stand is an entry-level Qube machine , featuring a cobot that collaborates with an operator to produce small batches of products . We are making the business case for automation , even for small batches , and want to accompany our customers on every automation step that they take ,” Gerard Ramaker , Account Manager Automotive , AWL , told ISMR at EuroBLECH .
