PEOPLE WATCH Change of leadership for Porsche sports car models

There has been a change of leadership for the sports car model series from Porsche . After more than three years as Vice President Model Lines 911 and 718 , Frank- Steffen Walliser passed this responsibility onto Frank Moser in the third quarter of 2022 . Moser previously held the position of Head of Corporate Quality . As Vice President Complete Vehicle Architecture and Characteristics , Walliser ( 53 ) is responsible for the technical design of the future Porsche models of all series , working closely with Board Member for Development , Michael Steiner .
Moser has been with Porsche since 1996 . The 52-year-old mechanical engineer worked
( L-R ) Frank Moser and Frank-Steffen Walliser . in Development for 16 years before moving to Production in 2013 as head of quality in the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen . From 2014 , he was responsible for the entire Corporate Quality area .
“ I have exciting tasks ahead of me in the next few years ,” reflected Moser on his new area of responsibility . “ On the one hand , I will be preserving the core values of our iconic 911 while carefully further developing these . On the other , we aim to electrify our 718 model line by the middle of the decade . Our developers are already working full tilt on redefining the all-electric 718 as a genuine sports car .” n

Klein becomes Chairman and

CEO of ZF Friedrichshafen AG

Dr . Holger Klein , Member of the Board of Management responsible for the Asia-Pacific region , Car Chassis Technology Division , Aftermarket and Production , will succeed Wolf-Henning Scheider as Chairman and CEO of ZF Friedrichshafen AG at the turn of the year 2022 / 2023 .
At the same time , Dr . Peter Laier will join the Board of Management to lead the Commercial Vehicle Solutions ( CVS ) and Industrial Technology divisions , succeeding Wilhelm Rehm . ZF Chief Financial Officer , Dr . Konstantin Sauer , will leave the company by the end of
Dr . Klein became head of the car chassis technology division and realigned its product range with ZF ’ s “ Next Generation Mobility ” strategy .
He has served as a member of the ZF
Board of Management since 2018 and heads the Asia-Pacific and India regions from Shanghai . In addition , he manages the business of the Passenger Car Chassis Technology and Aftermarket divisions and is responsible for ZF ’ s worldwide production . Under his leadership , ZF won traditional and new automotive OEMs in Asia as customers of
2022 after many years of service .

position very shortly .
“ The almost simultaneous end of three appointments of proven , successful and highly esteemed Board Members poses a particular challenge for the company ,” said Dr . Heinrich Hiesinger , Chairman of ZF ’ s Supervisory Board . “ We are , therefore , very pleased to announce two successors today . The succession process for Dr . Sauer is already at an advanced stage .”
Dr . Holger Klein joined ZF in 2014 as a seasoned international industry specialist from McKinsey management consultancy . Starting in 2015 , he led the integration of U . S . company TRW Automotive post-acquisition , which he completed earlier than planned . In early 2017 ,
in positioning ZF increasingly as a systems provider . Dr . Klein spearheaded the creation of new development centres and production facilities , especially in China , to capitalise on rapid technological change and enable ZF ’ s business expansion .
From 1 October 2022 , Dr . Klein initially assumed the role of Deputy Chairman of the ZF Board of Management before taking over as Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO on 1 January 2023 from Wolf-Henning Scheider , who is leaving ZF .
Board Member Wilhelm Rehm ( 63 ) will also leave ZF when his contract expires at the end of the year . n

New head of business development at KMF Group

Adam Ellis has been appointed the new head of business development at UK sheet-metal specialist , KMF Group . KMF is a leading subcontract manufacturer of precision
Adam Ellis . sheet-metal components , enclosures , machined components and electro-mechanical assemblies . Its facilities span 255,000 sq . ft . of metal manufacturing floorspace .
In 2011 , Adam Ellis joined KMF at the young age of eighteen and enrolled in KMF ’ s four-year apprenticeship scheme . Ellis worked in a range of departments , including laser cutting , metal forming , punching and welding . By joining the apprenticeship scheme , he gained valuable ‘ on-the-job ’ experience as well as professional qualifications .
After completing his apprenticeship , Adam Ellis was awarded NVQ and VRQ Level 3 qualifications in metal fabrication and welding .
Adam Ellis ’ s first role at KMF ’ s Advanced Solutions was as a press-brake operator . He was then promoted to sales engineer and involved in planning the manufacturing process . Once customer drawings had been received , it was his duty to provide the best method of manufacture to clients . The next stage of his career saw him advance to business development manager , involved in supervising key customer accounts and tasked with finding new business opportunities .
As the new head of business development , he is now responsible for managing and nurturing members of the team as well as taking part in regular management meetings to discuss current sales , forecasted figures and new business opportunities . n
