New investments
Voortman has embraced the digitalisation challenge and pursued solutions which make use of the latest digital developments . In that vein , it has poured investment into a new engineering centre and a hyper-modern Experience Centre at Rijssen , The Netherlands .
“ We are currently building a huge new engineering centre , which has workspace for more than 250 engineering colleagues , at our head office in The Netherlands . This new building will combine development of our machinery and software solutions . We already have more software engineers in our company then people who build the machine hardware and our expectation is that the number of developers will further increase to keep up with demand in the market . We are asked more and more questions from customers about digitalisation and how to embed this properly in the production process . With our latest innovations , we can answer these questions and help our customers to do a better job ,” commented Michan Katerbarg , Voortman Steel Machinery ’ s marketing manager .
