AN EYE ON

“ The manufacturer is working more now on coil lines to process lightweight materials ( such as high-strength steels and aluminium ) with quick changeover times .”

SUSTAINABILITY

At this year ’ s EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover , Germany , Asservimenti Presse placed a firm focus on coil-processing lines that help to offset high material and energy costs .

Italian manufacturer , Asservimenti Presse Srl , produces equipment for press automation ( decoilers ; straighteners ; cut-to-length lines ; transfer and handling systems ; robotics etc .) for sheet-metal working . With more than thirty years of experience , it currently exports its technology to over 20 countries .

It has completed over 2500 installations globally and specialises in press automation , aiming to optimise the production cycles of its customers . The manufacturer produces feeding lines with decoilers ( up to 25-ton capacity with external diameter of 2000mm ) which can process steel strip of up to 2000mm wide and 14mm in thickness .
At this year ’ s EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover , Germany , it placed a firm focus on coil-processing lines that help to offset high material and energy costs . These are designed to counter the challenges that manufacturers face from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic , supply-chain disruption and rising inflation / energy prices .
New lines and projects
“ Here in Hanover , we are highlighting our ability to produce equipment that saves on material and energy costs . Energy price rises are a real concern for manufacturers . For some years now , we have focused our R & D on these areas by , for example , changing from hydraulic to electric drives in our lines ,” explained Ottavio Albini , the company ’ s sales and marketing manager .
“ For example , our straightener-feeder unit with electronic pilot release is designed to reach 110 strokes / min . with a step of 300mm . It offers energy savings of 30-40 % compared to traditional machine types ( hydraulic , mechanical etc .). It can process material from a minimum width of 200mm to a maximum width of 2000mm ,” he added .
The company ’ s latest new coil-cutting lines can process aluminium and high-tensile steel . It has installed many of these lines across Europe in countries such as Poland ,
Germany and Italy . Its latest developments also incorporate automatic coil-change on its lines and the new SMART HMI control panel .
“ Next year , we will be starting a major project for a new coil-cutting line processing aluminium and steel . Over the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic , we have been producing more standardised lines to meet
