Messer Cutting Systems ’ CEO Europe , Jörg Mosser , outlined its approach to technology development , global strategic challenges and digitisation to ISMR .

At EuroBLECH 2022 , it focused on new levels of productivity with ELEMENT ( its latest plasma bevel technology ) and ELEMENT L ( a new , flexible solution for precision laser bevel cutting , including XXL sheets ).

Messer Cutting Systems ( MCS ) is a global supplier of cutting technology for the metalworking industry . With over 900 employees worldwide in over 50 countries , it maintains a constant dialogue with its customers to achieve what it dubs “ sustainable , user-oriented innovation ”.

Its portfolio embraces the themes ‘ Product , Digital , Services , Automation and Know-How ’. Messer ’ s product range includes oxyfuel , plasma and laser-cutting systems from handguided machines up to special machines for shipbuilding . ISMR : What are your views on the current global business climate for sheet-metal professionals ?
JM : The supply-chain bottle necks caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic , high energy and material costs as well as the economic consequences of the Ukraine war have led to great uncertainty and lack of reliable planning in the metalworking industry .
