Harkaitz Luengo , managing director of ATHADER S . L ., outlined his vision and
strategy for the coil-processing specialist ’ s continued growth to ISMR
“ ATHADER faces the challenge of technological advancement with the ‘ virtualisation ’ of services , digitisation and growth .”
ATHADER S . L ., based in Spain and part of The Bradbury Group , specialises in the design and manufacturing of slitting ; cut-to-length ; levelling ; multi-blanking and recoiling lines as well as coil / sheet automated packaging systems . The company is celebrating its 30th anniversary . With secondgeneration family members at the helm , it pursues a strategy of continuous improvement and modernisation .
The coil-processing specialist has two strategic partners : Leveltek International LLC – Stretch Leveling Equipment and Samuel Nelson Technology – Steel Pickling Equipment . Over the last two years , with Leveltek International , it has successfully supplied and installed five stretch-levelling lines , one in Australia and four in Europe .
“ Due to the sustained increase in our order book , two strategic decisions were made in 2022 . We increased our manufacturing facilities in the Basque Country with the acquisition of three additional workshops . We also opened a new branch office in North America to assist the customer service and sales support team in the area , due to the significant number of installations on the continent ,” it told ISMR .
Supporting growth
“ ATHADER has experienced substantial growth , especially over the last ten years . Our turnover in 2022 is five times our turnover in
2012 and we supplied three times more coilprocessing lines this year than ten years ago ,” its managing director , Harkaitz Luengo , explained to ISMR .
