New leadership line-up for Swisslog
Global logistics automation partner , Swisslog , has announced a series of new appointments within its senior management team to support continued growth and stability . Antonio Trioschi has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer . He joined Swisslog nine years ago and has since held several leadership positions across the business .
Most recently , he was responsible for the unity of two regions , Central and Greater Europe , into one strong EMEA region . He succeeds Dr . Christian Baur , who left Swisslog in June and who has played a key role in setting Swisslog on a path to growth over the past six years .
Jens Schmale , the new Head of EMEA , joined Swisslog in 2020 to strengthen its AutoStore offering and , said the company , ‘ has been instrumental in the achievements of the business unit over the last year ’. Before joining Swisslog , he was , among others , managing director of a German AutoStore distributor .
Commenting on his appointment , Schmale said : “ I am delighted to take over the role as Head of EMEA , and I am looking forward to expanding our roadmap within this highly dynamic market while developing new and existing customer relationships . I am fully committed to driving supply chain innovation through robotic and data-driven solutions .”

Fablink Group , a leading British Tier One supplier of cabs , pressings , structures and complete vehicle assemblies , recently announced the appointment of Steve Hemming as its chief operating officer .

Walid Al Attar , Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium ( the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside oil and gas ) has been named the ‘ World ’ s Top Aluminium Executive 2020-2021 ’ at an annual global industry summit in Chicago . The award , presented at the Harbor Aluminum Summit each year , recognises outstanding longterm contributions to the global aluminium industry .
Mr . Al Attar was the key architect of EGA ’ s drive to maximise the value of its production by focusing on ‘ premium aluminium ’, made to customer specifications . EGA is the world ’ s largest ‘ premium aluminium ’ producer with over 440 customers in more than 50 countries .
Mr . Al Attar joined Dubai Aluminium in 1984 as a trainee and began work as a transport administrator in the shipping department . He joined Dubai Aluminium ’ s marketing & sales team in 1994 , playing a leading role in the initial transition from selling commodity metal to traders to building direct relationships

Hemming joins the business from Liberty Engineering Group where he held the position of operations director at Liberty Performance Steel , as well as previous positions as group operations director at Liberty Vehicle Products and plant director at Liberty Pressing Solutions . Hemming has held directorial , consultancy and managerial positions across the UK ’ s manufacturing industry since the 1990s , spearheading operational excellence programmes at several UK plants . Fablink Group supplies pressings and complex welded structures ; cab assemblies ; lightweight bonded aluminium chassis & structures ; mixed material architectures as well as niche and lower volume build for automotive and e-mobility brands . With operations across six British sites , Fablink Group ’ s 500,000 ft 2 of manufacturing space is home to 700 engineers and production staff . n
