WJS has showcased an Augmented Reality , 3D version of one of its advanced waterjet machines , the FiveX , so that visitors could get closer to the operational cutter and look at it in 1:1 , 1:4 or 1:10 scale , and then take it home with them on their smartphone or tablet . The company ’ s entry-level waterjet cutting systems include the T-model and H-model . Its Grand range is a heavy-duty waterjet cutting system with large tables sizes to manage large and odd-sized materials .

TECHNI Waterjet manufactures waterjetcutting solutions for the metals , composites , glass and stone industries . Now part of the GMM Group , it controls the entire waterjet process in-house , with its own developed electric servo-driven pump ( Quantum ® Series Water Jet Pump ) and five-axis cutting head . It holds several patents on its technologies .
“ Our new Intec-G2 ® waterjet machine cuts parts up to 12 ” thick in most materials . Simple to use , its versatile cutting allows users to cut multiple material types on the same bed without having to change tooling ,” it explained . “ Our Quantum NXT™ Series pump incorporates technology from the NASA space shuttle programme , making it 60 % more efficient than standard hydraulic intensifiers .” The Intec™G2 Abrasive Waterjet Series range includes the i35-G2 ; i510-G2 ; i713-G2 ; i815-G2 ; i1020-G2 and i1033-G2 machines . A remote-control pendant ( MPG ) allows users to manually wind forward or backward through a cutting path . Its PAC60™ five-axis cutting head is designed to produce parts with a true angle up to +/ -60 degrees .
Uhde High Pressure Technologies GmbH ( belonging to thyssenkrupp ) has been designing and manufacturing ultra-highpressure pumps for pressures of up to 14,000 bar for industrial use for almost half a century . Its high-pressure pumps — the core element of the waterjet-cutting system — with stepless working pressures of up to 6,000 bar are implemented in many industrial sectors , from the food industry to aerospace .
Water Jet Sweden , based in Ronneby ( southern Sweden ) is a well-known waterjetcutting specialist with over 100 different waterjet cutters from entry level 2D machines and micro processing to big machines for large and odd sizes of material , with its five-year performance warranty . It develops , designs and builds industrial waterjet cutting machines starting from entry-level , with a wide range of optional functions , through to systems for highly bespoke waterjet cutting optimised to specific requirements . It celebrated its 30th anniversary last year .
“ From 1m ², up to the largest at 6m x 15m , these are professional , heavy-duty waterjetcutting machines made to last with typically 20 + years of machine life . Available from single-head up to six abrasive cutting heads , or 12 pure water heads , there ’ s a choice of cutting table configurations and Z axis units with linear motors for maximum flexibility ,” it commented .
The FiveX Ultra is its new full 3D , five-axis cutting machine ( 0-120˚ cutting ) designed to manage precision cutting assignments . It can be equipped with a FAWJ Micro Cutting Tool for extremely fine cuts and complex shapes . The Fine Abrasive Waterjet ( FAWJ ) cutting process bridges the gap between micro laser and EDM cutting and brings waterjet cutting into micro part processing . The NCM 10 Micro is its micro abrasive cutting model .
Its Alphajet , which it dubs ‘ the next generation of taper angle control and perpendicular waterjet cutting ’ is mechatronics based on compact design with a fixed TCP point . Up to four Alphajets can be fitted on the same machine , quadrupling the cutting capacity . Its multi-head CNC-controlled

Italian manufacturer , Waterjet Corporation Srl , offers a range of new hybrid and electric servo intensifier pumps ( such as EDRIVE , EDRIVE PRO and SERVODRIVE ). Its EDGE 5 cutting system features integrated ITC . Its machines include cantilever and bridge designs and five-axis flying bridge technology ( EDGE- 5 ) which delivers significant productivity improvements . The company also offers a combination plasma and waterjet machine ( the PlasmaJet model ), as well as waterjet surfacetexturing technology .
Its waterjet-cutting systems include the three-axis Prima and Practica ; the 3-5-axis RAM and Waterline as well as the Classica and Suprema . Its TopJet is an automatic waterjetcutting line .
