Success for Global Industrie 2023
ISMR attended the Global Industrie event at Eurexpo in Lyon , France , from 7-10 March 2023 . It is a showcase for industrial innovation with more new developments and solutions . The event is under the patronage of the French President , Emmanuel Macron , and plays host to several ministers , elected officials , ambassadors and representatives of some of the largest European professional organisations in the industry .
Despite widespread strikes across France , the event attracted 2,300 exhibitors over 100,000 square metres of exhibition floor area . According to the show organiser , around 38,700 visitors attended the event ( up 75 % on its 2021 figures for the event ).
“ Global Industrie brings together all industry players in one place . It was divided into 15 zones , specialising in fields such as digitalisation and automation ; electronics ; additive manufacturing & 3D printing ; measurement ; robotics ; energy and sustainable development ,” commented the show organiser .

The show ’ s Golden Tech challenge was to evaluate the skill , technical knowledge , expertise and creativity of candidates for fifteen selected professions . It combined novel features such as individual technical tests and collective creative tests . The theme for 2023 was ‘ Hydrogen Cars ’ and two concept cars were on display ; the NamX French hydrogen concept SUV and the H2 24h Le Mans hydrogen concept car . Golden Tech winners were selected at the show .
A series of events during the show were held around the theme ‘ The industry is mobilising ’. These included masterclasses , Keynotes by factory directors and technical managers as well as roundtables . Topics included reindustrialisation and sovereignty ; energy ; green growth ;
15 zones covering over 100,000 square metres technologies and skills .
The next Global Industrie event will take place from 25-28 March 2024 in Paris Villepinte . n
