New nesting software for waterjet cutting
Hypertherm Associates , a U . S . based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software , has announced the release of ProNest ® LT 2023 version 15.1 nesting software , which is now available on a subscription basis for the waterjet cutting market .
“ With the price of raw materials rising , ProNest LT uses advanced , true shape nesting algorithms to help waterjet fabricators and manufacturers improve efficiency , get the most out of their material and lower costs ,” explained Tom Stillwell , Product Marketing Manager , Hypertherm Associates Software Group . “ Moreover , software that is based on a subscription model makes it easier to incorporate automation into existing workflows . It is easily scalable , enabling users to add features in accordance with their business requirements .”
Founded in 1968 , Hypertherm Associates is a 100 per cent Associate-owned company , employing approximately 2,000 Associates , with operations and partner representation worldwide .
ProNest LT subscriptions for waterjet will support most makes or models of a waterjet machine , explained the company , allowing users to insert the nesting component into their existing workflow . There are two waterjet subscription tiers :
1 . ProNest LT OMAX ® is specifically designed for OMAX waterjet machines . Because both ProNest LT and OMAX are part of the Hypertherm Associates family of brands , this tier was created in close collaboration with OMAX engineers . It supports conventional , straight cutting for OMAX machine models including OptiMAX ®, OMAX , MAXIEM ® and GlobalMAX ®.
2 . ProNest LT Waterjet Plus is a more comprehensive subscription tier . It supports conventional and straight cutting for most waterjet brands plus plasma and oxyfuel cutting all in one package .
Hypertherm Associates ’ products , including Hypertherm plasma and OMAX waterjet systems , are used by manufacturers around the world to build ships , aircraft and railcars ; construct steel buildings ; fabricate heavy equipment ; erect wind turbines and more . Combilift celebrates 25 years
Combilift ’ s 75,000th truck , an Aisle Master articulated forklift , on the production line .
As part of Combilift ’ s celebrations for its 25th anniversary , the Irish materials handling specialist has announced that it is donating its 75,000th truck , an Aisle Master articulated forklift , to Convoy of Hope , a non-profit humanitarian and disaster relief organisation . The announcement was made at a gala dinner in Chicago , USA , during the ProMat trade fair .
Convoy of Hope works alongside communities and its wide network of volunteers aim to alleviate poverty and hunger and to bring help and hope wherever they are most needed in the world . As this type of aid is sadly always in demand , operational expansion has also seen a corresponding increase in the requirement for warehousing capacity to accommodate the vast volume of supplies that are stored and ready for delivery to areas in need .

Distribution Centre is based in Springfield , Missouri ( USA ), and from this location at the “ crossroads of America ” truckloads of relief supplies and food are sent on their way across the USA and further afield around the globe .
