Sheet metal bending specialist , JEAN PERROT , has taken a partnership approach to success in various industry sectors . ISMR met the company and its partners on its Sheet Metal Village recently at the Global Industrie exhibition in Lyon , France .

JEAN PERROT , a brand of the PINETTE P . E . I . industrial engineering group , designs , manufactures and supplies sheet metal processing equipment . This includes press brakes ; automated robotic bending cells ; shears ; tube / profile benders as well as rolling , notching and punching machines . Its portfolio ranges from standard machines to turnkey automatic production lines , including XXL heavy duty machines and custom tools .
The company has a history of developing award-winning products such as its Maneo Premium LCS press brake , with laser control system , which won the TolExpo sheet metal award . It has successfully developed robotic bending cells and tandem press brake lines for customers in Europe for many years . It has also pursued key partnerships with suppliers and customers to further its development .
Jean Perrot will celebrate its 60th anniversary on 22 September 2023 , part of the 160-year-old PINETTE P . E . I . industrial engineering group . Sharing staff and resources across the brands , Jean Perrot can call on 130 employees in France and a subsidiary in Germany with ten people . In 2022 , it purchased GADE , a press brake manufacturer in Ferrara ( Italy ) with 32 staff .

“ We didn ’ t suffer too much during the pandemic as we found new customers and developed new innovations ( mainly in robotics and automation ) which netted us a doubledigit increase in turnover for 2021 and 2022 . We work across a lot of sheet metal industry sectors so if one suffers , we can switch to others . For example , the agriculture sector remained strong throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and we delivered a lot of robotic bending cells for large 5-6m long parts , weighing up to 130kg ,” Erick Rousseau , Director , JEAN PERROT , and Deputy CEO , PINETTE PEI Group ( as well as GADE Board Member ), told ISMR .
