The International Monetary Fund ’ s latest World Economic Outlook projects that growth will bottom out at 2.8 percent this year before rising modestly to three per cent next year — 0.1 percentage points below its January projections . Growth is expected to remain at around three per cent over the next five years . Global inflation will fall , though more slowly than initially anticipated , from 8.7 per cent last year to seven per cent this year and 4.9 per cent in 2024 . Its latest projections also indicate an overall slowdown in mediumterm growth forecasts .
