TIG welding series
Smart , robust and sophisticated with digital connectivity , EWM has expanded its XQ series with new TIG welding machines in the power range from 230A to 600A .

Smart controls are designed to be easy and intuitive to use , even when wearing welding gloves ( no touch-screen ). In addition to the
Comfort 3.0 control , the new Expert 3.0 with high-resolution , 7-inch colour display is also available for visual support when setting parameters . Users can reload pre-programmed welding tasks using the five ‘ favourites ’ buttons . EWM has also created the Xbutton , which grants individualised access to the company ’ s Xnet welding management system . “ This innovative system makes Industry- 4.0 a reality for welding companies of all sizes and orientations . The demodular machines from the Tetrix XQ series come with a robust , practical , craneliftable casing with large wheels . The wide tread width also keeps the machines sturdy , even on inclinations of up to 15 °. The casing system can be customised with torch holders , containers for welding consumables or other useful components . Additional features help to improve work processes . Challenging times for steel supply
The current crisis in Ukraine is having a drastic effect on the steel market . The acute shortage of raw materials has caused great uncertainty and an extreme rise in prices . In times like these , it is especially important to have a large warehouse and high degree of in-house production on which to fall back . Guntram Meusburger added : “ We are going through turbulent times , the likes of which I have not experienced in almost 25 years at Meusburger . Due to the unforeseen situation on the market , many steel producers are now invoking force majeure and withdrawing from their contracts . Despite the steel shortage , we are doing our best to ensure product availability for our customers ”.
At Meusburger , 100 % of steel sheet / plate are produced in-house and standard plate can be sent directly from stock . Various raw materials are additionally available for further processing in the company ’ s outdoor storage area of around 24,000m ².
