MAKING THE CUT

“ The cutting equipment had to meet seven stringent requirements from DELA .”

Already in its second generation , with expertise accumulated over five decades , German family-owned manufacturer , DELA GmbH & Co . KG , has been successfully competing in the production of flame-cut blanks and flanges for many years . A cleanly produced flame cut is a prerequisite for accurate processing without wasting resources , whether for steel construction or for turned and milled parts , and this also considerably enhances the productivity of the tools used in processing .

“ We can cut all common flanges according to DIN , ANSI , EN 1092-1 , special flanges , shaped cuts and flame cuts according to customer drawings . We specialise in the manufacture and processing of steel products , according to customer requirements . Our plasma cutting machines are able to flame cut to very tight tolerances , creating the optimal basis for mechanical processing ,” it explained . Offering a combination of laser- , plasmaand oxyfuel cutting services , DELA also offers mechanical machining and surface treatment processes ( such as deburring , grinding and hot-dip galvanizing ) for small or large batches . It also uses modern test facilities and has created its own quality management system .
Investing for success
Customer satisfaction has always been at the forefront for DELA and it prides itself on upholding high-quality standards and deadlines for its domestic and international customers . To enable the manufacture of both reproducible series and individual items
