FOCUS ON TUBE

Klaassen customers undergo training on Almacam Tube software. Bodor T-Series 3-6kW tube laser cutting system.
“ By integrating a high-end software solution, the machine builder is no longer selling only a machine, but a complete operational capability.”

FLEXING NEW MUSCLES

Klaassen Advanced Technology is leveraging a CAD / CAM software solution for tube and profile cutting machines as a strategic asset for its customers.

Klaassen is a Dutch company specialising in the distribution and integration of industrial machinery for metal working. As a partner of Bodor for tube cutting machines, the company supports its customers from installation through to production startup, with strong technical positioning and close customer service.

Since 2023, Klaassen has selected Almacam Tube, from software specialist Alma, as its CAD / CAM software solution to complement its tube machine offer and to secure deployments at customer sites.
“ We are convinced that a successful installation begins well before the first hours of production. As a distributor, notably of Bodor tube cutting machines, we systematically propose Almacam Tube as an integral part of the solution. For us, preparation is decisive: mastery of the software directly determines the machine’ s actual performance,” said Klaassen Machines.

Software as a strategic differentiator
In a competitive industrial environment, manufacturers of tube and profile cutting machines( OEMs) are looking to expand their technology portfolio with software solutions that deliver clear differentiation in terms of productivity, reliability and machine integration.
Alma has positioned Almacam Tube, a CAD / CAM software solution for tube and profile cutting machines, as a strategic lever for OEMs aiming to grow their business and sustainably strengthen their product offer, while delivering additional added value to their customers.
“ For machine manufacturers, CAD / CAM software can no longer be considered a peripheral module added at the end of a project. It directly contributes to the perceived industrial value of the machine. Within this framework, Almacam Tube acts as a genuine strategic differentiation lever, naturally extending the mechanical performance of
the equipment. By integrating a high-end software solution, the OEM is no longer selling only a machine, but a complete operational capability,” outlined CAD / CAM software specialist, Alma, to ISMR.
“ For machine tool resellers, the challenge is equally strategic. A unified software solution, compatible with different machines, enables resellers to promote a clear, controlled and technically credible offering. It also supports a commercial positioning focused on overall system performance, rather than on machine power alone,” it continued.
Almacam Tube CAD / CAM software for tube and profile cutting automates the cutting process and optimises material usage with advanced nesting algorithms. It is compatible with leading laser, plasma and oxy-fuel tube and profile cutting machines featuring three to five-axis heads, from one to four mandrels, with automatic loading systems or integrated into robotic cells.
These include machines from manufacturers such as Bodor; Bystronic; Cutlite Penta; Cy Laser; Daihen Varstroj; DNE; Ficep; Gasparini; Han’ s Laser; Huagong; Mazak; Müller Opladen; Nukon; OMP; Oxyser; Silber do Brasil; SLTL; Soco; Soitaab; Tecnopampa; Tecoi and Yawei.
