U. S. tariffs and trade disruptions, economic and geopolitical tensions, protracted weak demand and high energy prices continue to weigh on the European steel market. Escalating tensions in the Middle East are threatening to raise European steel prices as global trade disruption brings far-reaching consequences. For now, according to some analysts, the market faces renewed volatility, raised costs and increased uncertainty.
In the March issue of ISMR, we highlight a selection of trends and forecasts for the global medical device industry( page 20). As the pharmaceutical and medical industries evolve, the demand for precision-engineered components grows greater. On page 28, we review the economic growth rate, industry trends and forecasts in France for sheet metal manufacturers.
The MACH 2026 trade show in the UK( 20-24 April 2026) will feature product launches, live demonstrations, specialised zones, knowledge hubs, seminars and a range of activities. Read our MACH preview in this issue on page 24. ISMR is an international media partner at the event.
