Process innovations
MVD Machinery has been developing machines for sheet metal processing and forming since 1950 . Exporting to 82 countries such as Japan ; Chile ; USA and New Zealand , the company produces CNC press brakes ; guillotine shears ; punch presses ; plasma cutting and laser cutting machines . It currently offers more than 50 machine types . The Ministry of Industry and Technology in Turkey granted it the status of an R & D centre in 2017 .
MVD ’ s iLaser is a fibre laser cutting system of aluminium and composite construction , designed to increase cutting speed , quality and precision using servomotors .
“ Faster , more precise , higher quality and lower cost cutting results have been achieved with the iLaser . Regardless of material type and thickness , automatic adjustment of the operating parameter values ( with no intervention ) makes it easier to operate the machine and save valuable time ,” MVD told ISMR .
MVD has carried out several studies aimed at manufacturing more products in shorter times , especially with the development of new cost-reducing techniques with the system . The system incorporates a range of innovative new features .
■ With a light and rigid bridge design , the speed of the machine was increased from 150,000mm / min . to 220,000mm / min . and its acceleration went from 2.5G to 4G .
■ With the increase in speed , production efficiency increased by 20 %.
■ Cutting precision is less than 3 %.
■ Positioning sensibility has been reduced to less than 3 %.
■ The operator is better protected from harmful rays emitted by laser and the particles formed during cutting .
■ By applying a continuously accelerating motion , instead of a continuous speed movement , the cutting time has been further shortened .
MVD hopes that the approach it has taken to the development of its machinery range will also inspire companies that manufacture similar machines and provide technological infrastructure .

We aim to produce high value-added products that will provide design and cost benefits to our customers and we will work with them throughout the product development phase , producing environmentally friendly solutions . Verification and testing processes take place at different stages of production ,” added MVD Machinery .
