According to analyst Research and Markets, the metal stamping market grew from US $ 210.37 billion in 2025 to US $ 221.28 billion in 2026. It is projected to reach US $ 309.58 billion by 2032, advancing at a CAGR of 5.67 %.

“ Material innovation, through high-strength steels and light alloys, is changing the way that engineers approach part design and tool longevity. Early collaboration between designers and stampers mitigates costly iterations. Servo press technology and digitalisation, such as closed-loop forming control and real-time monitoring, are driving greater operational precision and reducing downtime. Supply chain resilience is now critical, with companies diversifying sourcing and investing in localised inventory to manage risk amid tariff policy shifts and evolving logistics landscapes,” said the analyst.
Automation, customisation, the integration of artificial intelligence( AI) and machine learning( ML), as well as digitalisation and sustainability, are key trends in pressing and stamping operations. Innovations in tooling, such as high-speed progressive dies and 3D-printed dies, further shorten lead times and enhance design flexibility.

A-Z of innovations
AIDA is a leading supplier of metal stamping presses and metal forming equipment. AIDA servo and mechanical stamping presses are available in capacities from 35 to 4,000 tons and one to 800 strokes per minute. Single press, tandem line, high speed, lamination and cold forging models for single stroke, transfer, and progressive die applications provide a range of production capabilities. The AIDA DSF-N2 is its unitised frame, direct-drive, progressive servo press. It also offers material handling and automation systems for complete turnkey solutions.
At Blechexpo in Germany last October, the Italian stamping specialist introduced its new BEX Series, a dedicated line-up of presses
engineered specifically for manufacturing bipolar plates, a key component in fuel cells and electrolysers. The presses feature a zeroclearance slide gib system, inherited from the ULX series. The BEX product line-up consists of 8.000kN, 12.000kN and 16.000kN models, both servo press and mechanical press specifications.
ANDRITZ Schuler, a specialist in single presses and laser solutions, has introduced its Laser Blanking Line 1.18 DFT. The system can produce parts next to trapezoids and rectangular blanks. The company has now added fine-blanking presses in the“ HFA plus +” series to its portfolio. In January 2026, ANDRITZ acquired a 51 % stake in Baoding Sanzheng Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd, strengthening it as a solutions provider for steel processing( in particular, electrical steel).
Systems for the mass production of metal bipolar plates for fuel cells are also offered. The company’ s MSD series servo presses feature a monoblock press frame. Its single presses and multi-stage press lines are of modular design( the“ TRITON” concept). Its press lines include the ServoMAX, ServoNEXT and MechNEXT. The manufacturer promotes Yadon mechanical presses, made in China. Andritz Schuler products also include automation; dies; process expertise; digital solutions and service for the metal working industry.
