Enter the Machine Tools Innovation Awards

The Machine Tools Innovation Awards ( MTI Awards ) 2024 edition from CECIMO is open for entries until 2 September 2024 . It recognises ground-breaking projects that have a positive impact on the machine-tool ecosystem .
“ The MTI Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions to the machinetool industry . Our goal is to spotlight the remarkable achievements of industry players and showcase best practices that drive productivity , growth and profitability ,” said CECIMO ( European Association for Manufacturing Technologies ).
Winners will be announced at the CECIMO Brussels Forum in Brussels on 2 December 2024 . This event is officially supported by EIT Manufacturing ; European Factories of the Future Research Association ( EFFRA ); ERT – European Round Table for Industry and EMO Hannover 2025 .
“ The MTI Awards programme is open to all European players ( EU + UK + EFTA + Turkey ) of all sizes in the machine tool industry that drive the sector forward , highlighting achievements in areas such as sustainability , digitalisation and overall innovation in manufacturing ,” commented CECIMO .
Winners will not only receive recognition for their contributions but will also gain industry visibility through access to EMO Hannover 2025 , along with a network of top industrialists in the sector .

Luvata Oy acquires Dawson Shanahan

Luvata Oy has acquired UK-based Dawson Shanahan Group , a European producer of highly engineered and fabricated copper and metal components used in the aerospace ; automotive ; medical ; power distribution and industrial markets . The current management team of Dawson Shanahan will continue in its duties , with Les Reeves as the managing director .
Luvata Group ’ s President & CEO , Pekka Kleemola , said : “ As we state in our strategy , Luvata is looking to grow the business and become the leading provider of copper solutions for the benefit of people , society and the earth . Robotics attract support at 34 . BI-MU in Milan

Less than six months before the debut of the second edition of RobotHeart , key players in the robotics industry have already confirmed that they will exhibit at the 34 . BI- MU manufacturing trade show at Fieramilano Rho ( Milan , Italy ) from 9-12 October 2024 . RobotHeart is dedicated to industrial robots and a range of manufacturing sectors .
Sponsored by SIRI , the Italian Robotics and Automation Association , and organised by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE , the second edition of RobotHeart will attract , along with manufacturers and integrators , universities and representatives of the academic and research world ; spin-offs and start-ups .
