FOCUS ON STAMPING complete metalforming systems . AIDA servo and mechanical stamping presses range in capacity from 35 to 4,000 tons ; from a few to 800 strokes per minute ; from gap frame to straightside ; high-speed to cold forging , transfer and progressive die ; material handling and coil-feeding equipment .
A key target for AIDA is the electric vehicle market , where its business has been rapidly growing . The stamping specialist has its eye on two particular areas : battery case production and bipolar plate lines . It is also investigating the market for hydrogen fuel cell production . Two product lines that are dedicated to the production of motor laminations are the AIDA HMX Series and AIDA MSP Series presses . The AIDA MSP press enables users to produce motors such as EV motors , HEV motors and energy-efficient home appliance motors
AIDA ’ s new DSF-NE2 presses are equipped with their own low-RPM , high-torque servo motor for metalforming applications . Its DSF- TE4 servo transfer presses ( double-column split presses designed for transfer applications ) offer high levels of customisation through multiple configurations . AIDA ’ s press line series also includes servo presses , high-speed automatic presses for lamination and precision forming presses .
“ Our new 400-ton DSF-NE2 monolithic servo press line received a ‘ Product of the Year ’ award , in the metalforming and punching category , at the EuroBLECH 2022 Awards . We will continue developing this line of presses ,” AIDA told ISMR at the EuroBLECH exhibition last October .
During the exhibition , AIDA also presented its new AET electronic transfer system , an after-market solution which enables handling of blanks and parts in multi-station or interconnected presses . The new range of transfer equipment can be retrofitted on existing machines ( and not necessarily just AIDA presses ).

The stamping specialist also arranged live demonstrations of ADMS ( AIDA digital motion system ), the solution it developed to analyse and optimise transfer management for servo and mechanical presses . Visitors to its stand at EuroBLECH could see demonstrations of AiCARE ( AIDA information care system ), enabling users to receive information and data from AIDA servo and mechanical presses on machine status and production quality .
AIDA developed simulation software for its transfer presses to make them more productive . The other software package is related to Industry-4.0 solutions ( machine monitoring and machine learning so that AIDA can improve press reliability ).
Together with GEDIA , AP & T has created what it dubs “ the world ’ s most advanced production line for manufacturing presshardened components for the automotive industry .”
“ Our latest press-hardening production solution lays the groundwork for providing car manufacturers with lighter , safer , more flexible designs that are cost- and energy-efficient ,” explained press specialist , AP & T . “ The solution includes our servo-hydraulic press , with up to 70 % lower energy consumption than conventional hydraulic presses , and TemperBox ® ( which enables soft and hard zones to be combined in the same finished component ).”
In October 2022 , AP & T received an order for its 150th press-hardening line . The customer was Liuzhou Saike , subsidiary of one of China ’ s largest auto manufacturers , SAIC Motor .
AP & T is now adding factory-rebuilt presses to its customer offering .
Italian manufacturer Balconi Presseccentriche S . p . A . produces transfer , blanking and servo presses , as well as presses for progressive tools , impact extrusion presses and fin die presses . Its press model 4DMRF- LD-2000 has a 2,000kN cushion and three-axis electronic transfer . The press can produce up to 27 strokes per minute .

and manipulators . They feature high speed , including approach , return and , particularly , pressure build-up timing that , it told ISMR , results in a substantial increase in head production .
Swiss stamping specialist , Bruderer AG , offers its BSTA range of presses with press forces from 180 to 2500kN and a stroke speed range of 100 to 2300spm . The lever system distributes the load acting on the ram in the system . Its press energy-saving mode enables customers to reduce energy use over several stages and can be set automatically and at staggered intervals .
“ This load distribution , the minimal bearing clearances and the efficient lubrication system are the main reasons for the long life and consistently high precision of our stamping presses ,” it told ISMR .
