Its camera-based monitoring system for presses , Visual Die Protection ” ( VDP ) is part of the Digital Suite . “ We are the first press manufacturer to also offer fully networked C-frame presses ,” said managing director , Frank Klingemann , who heads the Industry Division . “ This means that we have now digitised almost our entire product range .”
Operators who want to prepare for the Industrial Internet of Things do not necessarily have to replace their presses , as Schuler offers solutions that can be retrofitted for existing systems .
Schuler exhibited a fully networked C-frame press at the Blechexpo exhibition in 2021 .

Founded in 1962 , Taiwanese press specialist , Shieh Yih Machinery Co ., Ltd . ( SEYI ), manufactures mechanical presses , ranging in size from 25 to 2400 tons , and servo presses , from 80 to 2000 tons . SEYI products have been sold to customers in over 40 countries and received numerous quality awards from around the world . SEYI also held the ‘ first competition designed for servo press stamping process design based in Taiwan ’ last year . The MX series ( 3,000 – 10,000kN ) and the SX series ( 8,000 – 30,000kN ) are the initial results of the German-Korean cooperative venture , Simpac Europe GmbH . Simpac ’ s wide product range includes mechanical and hydraulic presses , servo presses , tandem lines and automation solutions .
“ Conventionally-driven presses still remain part of our product range – from automatic blanking presses and eccentric presses to link presses with modified slide kinematics – so that we can offer customers the best possible individual solution ,” the company told ISMR .
