Bystronic ’ s ByBend Star 120 press brake .
Blech-Tec GmbH manufactures mini bending machines for small and very small parts . The BT-500 is a folding machine and press brake in one . Combining both bending processes offers flexibility , as both processes have their geometric advantages . The BT-150 mini bender is designed as a table machine for even smaller parts .
Boschert GmbH & Co KG celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021 . Founded in 1946 as a small workshop for the textile industry , today it builds a wide range of sheet-metalworking equipment . Based in Lörrach ( near Freiburg , Germany ), Boschert has a production and assembly area of some 8,000 square metres . There are a further 700 square metres of office space , as well as a presentation and demonstration centre .
Its press brake range includes the G-FLEX hydraulic system with CNC crowning , the G-Bend Plus ; the G-HD ( hydraulic ) and the energy-efficient G-Electrobend , as well as the smaller QuickBend ( hybrid-drive ) and ProfiBend models .
At the EuroBLECH exhibition in 2022 , Boschert GmbH / Gizelis showcased a real-time automatic angle measurement and correction system on its Gizelis G-BEND PLUS 3140 press brake .
The Gizelis ROBOBEND 2 fully automated robotic bending cell incorporates Automatic Tool Change ( ATC ) with bending and palletising procedures as a turnkey solution . The system boasts a smart design and can be operated in three different modes . There is large capacity for tooling ( punches and dies ) which can be organised in a smart tooling warehouse .
The ByBend Star 120 is the latest member of Bystronic ' s family of press brakes with minimal space requirement . The compact but rapid bending machine can process small to medium-sized parts in a variety of sheet thicknesses , up to a length of 2.05m ( as well as materials in higher tensile-strength classes ). Bending power is 120 tons .
“ Operators can spare themselves elaborate bending angle measurements from now on . The LAMS function ( Laser Angle Measuring System ) takes care of these automatically . The ‘ FastBend Plus ’ function offers effective personal protection with maximum productivity and reduces set-up time . Users can start bending right away . Thanks to energy-efficient servo hydraulics , up to 30 percent can be saved in energy , with 20 per cent more speed in return ,” said the Swiss sheetmetal specialist .
The BySoft Cell Control Bend user interface relieves operators of much of the work . Taking account of material thickness and bending angle , BySoft Cell Control Bend determines the most suitable bending process and suggests relevant tools .
The ByBend Star 40 and 80 are two mobile press brakes with a new design and new drive system . The Dynamic Drive System concept allows for dynamic bending sequences without energy loss . Added to this are intelligent functions such as the Energy Saver and an automatic start-stop function .
Bystronic ’ s ByBend Smart flexible , highspeed press brake increases the flexibility and speed of bending . The machine ’ s main drive is only active when the machine is in operation . The Xpert 250-1000 ( up to 2,000 tons in press capacity in a tandem configuration and up to 20m in bending length ) has been designed for bending larger and “ more extreme ” applications . Bystronic ’ s Xpress entry-level press brake is supported by intuitive BySoft Cell Control Bend software .
Bystronic ’ s Xpert Pro press brake has now been equipped with the LAMS 4.1 angle measurement system ’ s springback compensation for bending sheet metal . The Modular Tool Changer is an automation solution for the Xpert Pro press brake ,
designed to increase the productivity of the bending process “ by up to 30 per cent .” The Xpress press brake features the ByVision Bending user interface and ByMotion drive control . Options such as a mechanical crowning system and lower beam can be configured , if required .
The Xpert 40-tonne , one-metre ‘ plugand-play ’ press brake has already won a German design award and is designed for rapid , efficient parts production . A Mobile Bending Robot is available for feeding the Xpert 40 , turning it into a compact , automated bending cell for producing 3D sheet metal components . The press brake also features optical tool detection .
Cincinnati Incorporated ( CI ) is a U . S . -based , build-to-order machine-tool manufacturer with over 127 years in the industry . At its modern Ohio-based facility near Cincinnati , it develops and builds custom software , laser cutting systems and automation equipment as well as metal fabrication equipment ( including press brakes , shears and powder metal presses ).
