The ‘ Industry 5.0 : Factory of the Future ’ demo application was introduced to the manufacturing industry for the first time at the WIN EURASIA 5G Arena
The machinery sector is a strategic sector for Turkey with its positive contribution to productivity and economic growth . Most of the companies in the machine manufacturing industry are SMEs and almost 60 % of production is exported , according to the Turkish Machinery Exporters ’ Association ( Turkish Machinery ). Over 150 R & D centres have been opened in the past two years and machinery exports have increased tenfold in the past 19 years .
This April , Turkish Machinery took a stand at the Hannover Messe industry trade show in Germany , where an introductory meeting on the “ Turkish Machinery Sector Report on Sustainability Action Plan ” was held . Around 176 companies from Turkey took part as exhibitors .
Success at WIN Eurasia
A major international industrial exhibition , WIN EURASIA , was held from 7-10 June 2023 in Istanbul . It attracted 38,586 visitors from 102 countries and hosted over 500 exhibitors .
“ WIN EURASIA made history as the first exhibition that introduced the ‘ Industry 5.0 : Factory of the Future ’, controlled by 5G and metaverse , to the manufacturing industry in Turkey ,” the show organiser , Hannover Fairs Turkey , told ISMR .
Germany , Taiwan , China and Korea had their own pavilions and a range of products , technologies and solutions for the present and future of the manufacturing industry were presented .
As part of the Buyer Delegation Programme , organised in cooperation with the Machinery Exporters ’ Association ( MAİB ) and Turkish Machinery Federation ( MAKFED ), professional buyers from 20 countries participated in face-to-face meetings at WIN EURASIA and signed new commercial collaborations worth millions of euros .
In the “ STARKGEN Generator Display Area ”, progressive energy solutions in the critical and back-up power sector were showcased while companies in the energy , electricity and electronics industry welcomed visitors to their stands .
The ‘ Industry 5.0 : Factory of the Future ’ demo application was introduced to the manufacturing industry for the first time at the WIN EURASIA 5G Arena . With the new-generation communication technology 5G support and the ‘ Industry 5.0 : Factory of the Future ’ demo application , which can be controlled via the metaverse , 25 different scenarios for the 5G use cases that factories need the most were showcased .
As part of the “ Smart Production with Metaverse ” scenario , the simulation of industrial control systems and robots in the industrial production line communicated over 5G in an integrated manner with Metaverse . This new concept , called ‘ Meta Industry ’, was one of the first in Turkey in terms of industrial innovation .
Technologies , events and demo applications were presented in the Industry-4.0 Pavilion ; Digital Factories Special Area ; 5G Arena and 5G & Industry Forum Area at WIN EURASIA 2023 . The 5G & Industry Forum Area also hosted dozens of conferences over the four days .
The next edition of WIN EURASIA will be held at Istanbul Expo Centre from 5-8 June 2024 .
Forthcoming exhibitions include Metal Expo ( the 5th International Iron , Steel , Metal Products and Manufacturing Technologies trade show ) which will take place from 27-30 September 2023 in Istanbul . It will feature conferences , sectoral training and various seminars . n
