Metrology and testing Metrology and testing concerns technologies , products , services and solutions developed to guarantee production quality , relying on continuous development of product and process innovation as one of the crucial factors to win the competitiveness challenge . Measurement instruments ; testing machines ; artificial vision ; equipment for non-destructive testing and quality control ; as well as certification services will be some of the highlights in the Metrology & Testing area .
5 . BI-MU Logistics BI-MU Logistics is a special area focused on the solutions capable of better supporting the procurement and storage of materials ; the management of stock and the systematic / standardised cataloguing of products within mechanical factories .
BI-MU in 2020
The 32 . BI-MU concluded on 17 October 2020 , held over the pandemic and registering over 9,000 visits during the four exhibition days . Before it could go ahead , the show organiser had to obtain the Compliance Certification released by ICIM as regards conformity with safety protocols to combat and contain the spread of COVID-19 .
BI-MUonline , the digital version of the event , extended the event after the closure of the physical exhibition . As a virtual version of the real trade show , BI-MUonline features the technological product offerings on display on the bimu . it website . The virtual exhibition features videos , video clips and interviews directly collected at the stands .
With over 350 exhibiting companies , 30 % of whom came from abroad , two exhibition halls and a large and varied technological product offering , the 32 . BI-MU also offered a full programme of meetings focused on the main topical issues of interest for the operators in the manufacturing industry . About 50 events were held in the BI-MUpiù arena . The speeches were also followed remotely through the live streaming service , activated to promote and extend the reach of exhibitor
presentations beyond just visitors to the trade show . Over one thousand users followed the conferences remotely .
One of the event ’ s attractions was BI- MUpiùDigital , a demonstration area set up in Hall 11 to highlight the potential of the digital factory . Overseas visitors attended 32 . BI-MU from 27 countries . Germany , Switzerland , France and Austria were the most represented countries .
Getting there
The fieramilano Exhibition Centre is a compact structure concentrated along a single , completely sheltered walkway , which facilitates visitor movement from one hall to another .
The Exhibition Centre can be reached by the Underground M1 Line , whose terminal ( Rho-Fiera ) is at the “ Porta Est ” entrance . A fast and extensive network of urban transport services connects the exhibition complex with the city centre of Milan , with railway stations and neighbouring airports ( such as Linate and Malpensa ) as well as other airports in neighbouring Lombardy provinces . n
