After the cancellation of the 2020 event in Paris due to the coronavirus crisis , Global Industrie is returning to Lyon ( France ) for its 2021 edition from 6-9 September 2021 . It brings together four complementary exhibitions : MIDEST ( industrial subcontracting ); SMART INDUSTRIES ( smart , efficient and digital industry ); INDUSTRIE ( manufacturing technologies and equipment ) and TOLEXPO ( solutions and equipment for sheet metal working ). Badges also allow entry to Measurement World 2021 , an international

measurement technology meeting taking place at the same venue on the same dates .
“ Our primary aim is to help exhibitors and visitors , who have just gone through a particularly difficult period , to revive and bolster their activity ,” GL Events ( the show organiser ), told ISMR . “ Around 85 countries are represented by its visitors while 40 % of Global Industrie ’ s exhibitors come from outside France ( 40 countries ). The event is held under the patronage of the French President , Mr Emmanuel Macron , and plays host to a number of ministers , elected officials , ambassadors and representatives of the largest European professional organisations in the world of industry .”
Following the launch of the GI Relaunching Booster programme , the Global Industrie exhibition is also reinventing itself and is going ‘ phygital ’, a hybrid model of physical event and virtual meetings . There will be video meetings on its MyGi portal , from 6-9 September 2021 and a range of channels broadcast live from the exhibition on its website .

Global Industrie 2019 in Lyon exceeded expectations with 45,861 international visitors from 84 countries ( a 12 % increase compared to 2018 ). Visitors were primarily from Switzerland ; Maghreb ( Northwest Africa ); Italy ; Germany ; Benelux ; Spain ; Portugal and the UK . The exhibition in Lyon this year will now be divided into fifteen different zones .
Global Industrie enables visitors to see , touch and understand innovations and the latest new industrial processes in several ‘ experimentation ’ areas .
