Yin Tongyue wins key award

On 1 November 2024 , the millionth Chery TIGGO 7 set sail from Wuhu Port in China ( a significant milestone for Chery ’ s TIGGO product line ).
At the 31st CHINA-SAE congress and exhibition on 12 November 2024 , Yin Tongyue ( Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chery Holding Group Co ., Ltd .) was awarded the prestigious “ Rao Bin Award ” by the China Society of Automotive Engineers ( China-SAE ). This award , often referred to as the highest honour in China ’ s automotive industry , has previously been granted to industry leaders such as Li Gang , Chen Zutao , Geng Zhaojie and Zuo Yan ’ an , making Yin Tongyue the ninth recipient .
The “ Rao Bin Award ” winners were selected after careful consideration and extensive consultation with senior leaders in China ’ s mechanical engineering arena , industry organisations and respected specialists . Steve Foxley will step down from his post as the chief executive officer of the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre ( AMRC ) in the UK to take up a new role as chief executive at the Offshore Renewable Energy ( ORE ) Catapult . Foxley joined the AMRC , part
Steve Foxley of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult , in January 2020 . He was appointed to lead the AMRC management team , having previously held leadership positions at Siemens UK and Ireland , working in the UK , Europe and China . He will take up his new role at ORE Catapult in early 2025 .

Foxley to be CEO of ORE Catapult

Change of CEO at ZEISS

Andreas Pecher , currently an Executive Board member and responsible for the ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology segment , will become the new President and CEO of Carl Zeiss AG from 1 April 2025 . He will succeed Dr . Karl Lamprecht , who has decided not to extend his contract .
Andreas Pecher joined ZEISS in 2013 as Head of Strategic Business Development for SMT . There , he successfully took on various management tasks including as Head of the Semiconductor Mask Solutions and the Semiconductor Manufacturing Optics strategic business units . He has been a member of the Executive Board , responsible for the ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology ( SMT ) segment , since 2022 .
Dr . Frank Rohmund has also been appointed the new Executive Board member of Carl Zeiss AG , responsible for the ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology segment , effective from 1 January 2025 . He previously headed the Semiconductor Manufacturing Optics ( SMO ) strategic business unit .
In addition , the Supervisory Board of Carl Zeiss AG extended the contracts of Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf and Sven Hermann by five years until 2030 . Both were appointed members of the Executive Board in 2022 ; Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf as Chief Transformation Officer of the ZEISS Group and Sven Hermann for the ZEISS Consumer Markets segment .
During Dr . Karl Lamprecht ’ s tenure as President and CEO of Carl Zeiss AG , the ZEISS Group ’ s revenue increased from 6.3- billion euros to over 10 billion euros . EBIT rose from 922 million euros to around 1.7- billion euros ( fiscal year 2022 / 23 ) and the number of employees went from around 32,000 to over 44,000 ( as of 31 March 2024 ). n
