Value-add events
Two major initiatives are being held in the runup to the event , GI 360 and GI Connections , to encourage further participation .
GI 360 is a bi-monthly panoramic industry news programme , with a virtual tour of the factory of the future , an overview of business conditions with France Industrie and a big debate on topical issues . GI Connections offers premium business and 100 % physical events held throughout the year , all over France , on various industrial themes .
During the exhibition itself , five major events will also be held for visitors to enjoy .
1 . Golden Tech 2023 : The aim of this challenge is to evaluate the skill , technical knowledge , expertise and creativity of candidates for fifteen selected professions . It combines novel features such as individual technical tests and collective creative tests . All candidates will be part of a team , led by a team leader . The theme for 2023 is ‘ Hydrogen Cars ’ and two concept cars will be on display ; the NamX French hydrogen concept SUV and the H2 24h Le Mans hydrogen concept car .
2 . CIM 2023 Metrology Conference : A four-day programme dedicated to the best industrial practices and advances in R & D applied to measurement , analysis and testing processes . It will include 200 oral and poster presentations ; six roundtables on hot topics ; one Plenary Session “ Limitless Metrology at your Fingertips ” on three key applications
such as Industry 4.0 , Environment and Health ; one Climate Workshop – MetClimVOC ; ten pitch presentations and various networking activities .
3 . GI Avenir : An area entirely dedicated to employment , training and job opportunities where companies can post their job adverts and meet candidates . It included an online recruitment portal ; employment wall ; guided tours ; job appointments and express coaching sessions . In partnership with the Aerospace Jobs and Qualifications Campus of the University of Evry , GI Avenir is also launching its Industry 4.0 Hackathon dedicated to data science .
4 . GI Awards : Launched in 2018 , the Global Industrie Awards ( GIA ) provide recognition for exhibitors at the show who have developed an innovative product , service or expertise . The categories for 2023 are Production Technology ; Peripheral Technology ; Digital Transition ; Environmental Responsibility ; Exemplary Partnership and Young Start- Up .
5 . GI Conferences : More than 160 experts and manufacturers are expected to attend a series of events during the show around the theme ‘ The industry is mobilising ’. These will include masterclasses by captains

of industry , Keynotes by factory directors and technical managers as well as roundtables in which up to five speakers will discuss major industrial , technological or strategic issues . Some of these issues include : -
• Reindustrialisation and sovereignty .
• Energy .
• Green growth .
• Technologies .
• Skills .
Industry 4.0 international business meetings will also be held onsite on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March , by the regional economic agency Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises and its partners in the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network . These meetings attracted more than 350 participants from about 20 different countries during previous shows .
