As global supply chains confront continuing pressures from factors such as fluctuating tariffs, geopolitical volatility, inflation, energy costs and ESG regulation, manufacturers are becoming more resilient and adaptable. Initiatives include accelerating their digital transformation efforts and use of artificial intelligence( AI), diversifying supply chains, streamlining activities and taking various strategic and technical planning actions in key marketplaces.
In this issue of ISMR, we interview two global manufacturers to gauge their views of 2025 as well as their responses to these challenges with plans, projects and market forecasts for 2026. Thomas Krone( Voortman’ s business development and marketing director) and Stef Rohaan( Voortman’ s product manager for plate) discussed the company’ s latest innovations, global market strategy and view of the future with ISMR on page 20. Marcella Montelatici, Managing Director of Sales and Service, TRUMPF Machine Tools, discussed the company’ s latest new innovations with ISMR on page 28.
