Barden becomes CIDAN CEO

Chandler Barden has been appointed as CIDAN Machinery Group’ s chief executive officer as of 1 January 2026. He will lead CIDAN Machinery Group globally, steering the company’ s worldwide operations and growth agenda.
“ Chandler has spent 14 years with CIDAN, during which he has worked closely with customers, dealers and partners across key markets. He served as CEO of CIDAN Machinery Inc. in the United States and succeeds Petter Hjelmqvist, who will continue to support the transition and the Group in an advisory capacity. Chandler brings a strong track record in customerdriven growth and operational execution. His industry expertise across architectural and industrial fabrication makes him a natural choice to guide CIDAN forwards,” explained the Group.
Under Chandler Barden’ s leadership in North- America, CIDAN Machinery Inc. expanded its customer base and strengthened service capabilities while advancing the Group’ s strategy as a‘ One-Stop-Partner’ for machinery, software and lifecycle support.

Executive Board changes for thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG

At its meeting on 31 October 2025, the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG appointed Marie Jaroni as CEO of the company and extended her contract for a further five years( effective from 1 November 2025). Dennis Grimm, the previous Spokesman of the Executive Board and COO of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, is stepping down from his positions by mutual agreement.

Henrik Adam re-elected as EUROFER President

On 20 November 2025, the European Steel Association( EUROFER) elected its new Board, President and Vice-Presidents. Dr. Henrik Adam was confirmed as President of the organisation for another two-year term.
Dr. Henrik Adam currently serves as Executive Chairman of Tata Steel Netherlands Holding BV and as Chairman of the Steel Institute VDEh in Germany. He has been President of EUROFER since November 2023 and previously held the role of Vice-President from 2019. He was also Chairman of WorldAutoSteel.
Speaking after his re-election, Dr Adam said:“ I am eager to drive forward the crucial work we have started to safeguard our industry’ s competitiveness while ensuring the conditions for a successful transition. It’ s not just about steel— which sits at the heart of key value chains and clean technologies such as automotive and renewables— but about Europe’ s future, its industrial sovereignty and geo-economic resilience.
“ I reaffirm my full commitment to working tirelessly with EUROFER and pursuing the constructive dialogue initiated with the European Commission to advance all our key priorities: the swift adoption of the steel trade measure addressing global overcapacity; closing the CBAM loopholes to avoid carbon and jobs leakage; cutting sky-high energy prices to restore industrial competitiveness; boosting demand by promoting European green content; and securing ferrous scrap supply and recycling in the EU. Only by following this path can we preserve Europe’ s prosperity,” he added. n
