sheet metal parts and other sheet metal customers may need micro welding or marking applications . The ‘ One AMADA ’ strategy ensures that we are recognised globally as one company , with all these different ‘ strings to our bow ’.
The strategy also consolidates roadmaps for individual companies into one overall roadmap for AMADA technologies and peripherals . It is just about taking a step back and adopting a more global , holistic view .
ISMR : You introduced a new LIVLOTS system to promote the Connected Factory at EuroBLECH . Please take us through this .

MW : We are really focusing on the Connected Factory at EuroBLECH . There is a big wall on our stand featuring the new LIVLOTS system that we have introduced . It can be a complete ERP system : the idea is that customers can buy LIVLOTS and it can connect to our programming software as well as to machine monitoring and IoT support .
So , the customer has everything they need from receiving an order : the system can process it ; program it ; understand which machine it is for ; allocate resources to that machine and monitor the job or process while the customer can see what is happening on the machines ( where we also offer IoT support ). LIVLOTS controls everything from receiving an order right through to machine monitoring .
At the core of LIVLOTS lies its ability to seamlessly integrate and manage the entire production workflow , from order intake to final product delivery . This comprehensive digitalisation streamlines operations , vastly reduces inefficiencies and optimises resource allocation , paving the way for productivity gains and cost savings . LIVLOTS is not just software ; it ’ s a gateway to a digitally transformed future .
ISMR : Please explain your ‘ One AMADA ’ strategy ?
MW : We are focusing quite heavily this year on what we call the ‘ One AMADA ’ strategy . There are lots of different facets to AMADA ’ s business , but customers see them as very different AMADA companies . So , there has been a shift in company strategy . We are incorporating other AMADA companies much more into the business e . g . AMADA Presses , AMADA Weldtech and AMADA Machine Tools Europe .
For example , we are well known for making sheet metal equipment , software and systems but one of our companies , AMADA Weldtech , produces systems for laser welding ; laser marking ; laser cutting ; resistance welding ; hermetic sealing and hot bar reflow soldering and bonding . There is some cross-over with our sheet metal business there . Some of our machine tool customers may have to make
