We preview the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics exhibition in Farnborough , UK , from 7-9 February 2023 .

Registration is now open for Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2023 , due to take place in Farnborough ( UK ) from 7-9 February 2023 . Sheet and tube machining , manipulation , metrology and inspection will form an important part of the exhibition , which will be held at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre ( a new £ 35-million 20,000m ² venue offering modern facilities , easy access and free onsite parking ).
It is a comprehensive annual industrial exhibition in the UK and a major pan-European showcase for new technology in machinery ; production equipment ; electronic production and assembly ; tooling and components as well as subcontract services .
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2023 will co-locate once again with AutoAero , a specialist theme within the exhibition devoted to aerospace and automotive engineering . ISMR is a media supporter of the event and will distribute its February issue throughout the show .
Innovation in focus
“ Companies looking for new ideas to bolster their order books and keen to find new business opportunities will do well to visit one of the most important engineering shows in the UK calendar . Many stands will reflect a renewed interest in the reshoring of production as well as new technologies in green energy ,” the exhibition organiser , European Trade & Exhibition Services ( ETES ), told ISMR .
“ Hundreds of firms will highlight a vast array of high technology products and services . Although it is a multidisciplinary event , that does not mean it is fragmented . There are no physical barriers between areas , so people can move easily between stands showing many diverse engineering disciplines . Chinese firm Jinan Bodor CNC Machine Co . will display the high-power , fibre laser cutting machines that it builds in its 30,000m ² factory in Jinan . AMOB UK will show its specialised equipment for tube and pipe bending , ranging from simple manual machines to the eMOB range of complex , fully electric CNC systems . Additional tube bending products will be exhibited by Portuguese manufacturer , VLB- Group .
Various sheet-metal subcontractors will also promote their services at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2023 . Fife Fabrications will explain the extent of its supply of precision sheet metalwork , machined components and electro-mechanical assemblies , with continued investment in facilities and equipment .
