FOCUS ON FIBRE LASER
The SVS , or Sheet / Scrap Vision System , helps to re-use sheet metal leftovers i . e . the residues of previous machining which are often used for samples , to make urgent parts of different sizes , in single batches , and to replace any machining scrap after cutting . The SVS calculates a dxf to use as the starting sheet nesting of the new parts to be cut . The SVS is supplied with STREAMLASER on Machine , the on-board version of the Salvagnini CAM .
Salvagnini ’ s automatic FlexCell ZERO cell is a smart and flexible FMC ( Flexible Manufacturing Centre ) which integrates three smart machines with OPS-FlexCell integration software . The Flexcell can feature an integrated L5 laser cutting system , a P2lean panel bender and a B3 ATA press brake .
S1 is the Salvagnini punch-laser combination machine which punches , forms , taps and cuts parts .
At Blechexpo 2021 in Stuttgart , Germany , TRUMPF presented the new generation of its TruLaser Series 1000 with ‘ more productivity , process stability and cost-effectiveness .’ For the first time , the Highspeed Eco function was used on this machine type . Here , a nozzle developed by TRUMPF directs the cutting gas specifically to the sheet metal . This is designed to increase the machine ’ s feed rate by up to 70 per cent , while reducing gas consumption by around 60 per cent . The machine , said TRUMPF , cuts sheet metal ‘ significantly faster than conventional 2D laser machines .’
“ The new series also features CoolLine technology for the first time . This function automatically sprays water mist onto the sheet to ensure optimum cooling during the cutting process . In this way , even sheets of up to 25mm thick can be cut with precision ,” TRUMPF told ISMR .
Another new feature of this machine type is the intelligent Smart Collision Prevention function . This algorithm calculates , for example , the sequence in which the parts must be cut to avoid collisions between tilting parts and the cutting head . This reduces downtime and improves production efficiency . “ The new generation of machines will be available from Blechexpo 2021 in three external dimensions : 3 x 1.5m , 4 x 2 metres and 6 x 2.5 metres . Users can choose different laser powers of between three and six kilowatts for their machine . The machine can be expanded to include various automation functions for loading and unloading ,” added TRUMPF .
TRUMPF ’ s TruLaser 5030 fiber , TruLaser 5040 fiber and TruLaser 5060 fiber models boast high processing speeds and reproducible , high part quality – even for complex contours .
“ Clever assistant systems make the complete machining process more productive and reliable than ever . Operator involvement is low and non-productive times are minimal ,” TRUMPF told ISMR .

solution , which automatically prepares parts for welding during the cutting process , at Blechexpo 2021 . Compatible with standard TRUMPF laser-cutting machines , this technology allows users to create bevelled edges while cutting out the contours of each part . Liquid metal flows into these bevels during welding to ensure a high-quality weld seam . TRUMPF launched the new technology at Blechexpo for the standard versions of its TruLaser Series 3000 fiber and TruLaser Series 5000 fiber machines .
The single-mode fibre laser , TruFiber , enables highly dynamic welding and cutting processes . However , it also allows for a reduced heataffected zone and delicate structures . The fibre laser-based TruMark Series 5000 offers high power , high frequencies and adjustable pulse duration . The TruMicro Mark 2000 is an allaround turnkey solution for an ultrashort pulse laser in a marking station .
“ The fibre-based ultrashort pulse lasers in the TruMicro Series 2000 are distinguished by their compact and light design . Its moderate average power and high beam quality are designed to open up applications in new areas such as medical technology and foil processing ,” explained the German specialist .
The one-box laser is a comprehensive all-inone package that enables users to integrate laser marking quickly and easily into production or a machine . Its compact housing contains the electronics , scanner , PC and the TruMark 5010 or TruMark 1110 beam source .

X-Lase GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Foshan Beyond Laser Technology Co . Ltd ., known as HSG Laser . The company was founded in 2018 in Hamburg , Germany , and acts as the headquarters for all HSG activities in Europe .
“ Our flat sheet cutting laser , the GX , is specifically designed for the European market as a cost-effective , entry-level machine . In the very high-power range , we also produce the GV series for powers exceeding 10kW - it is designed to cut thick plate material , with higher acceleration rates and speed . Our new G3015X 4kW laser cutting machine model boasts acceleration rates of 1.4 and combined axis speed of 140 . So , we basically added greater capability to both ends of the sheet laser cutting spectrum ,” Thorsten Frauenpreiss , MD , XLase GmbH , told ISMR .
“ We followed the same pattern with the combined GE series machines . These are flat sheet cutting machines with extra capability to process tube . It is a machine that has been designed for special markets in Europe . The tubes are manually loaded and unloaded . We produce entry-level machines ( GA , GX ) and higher power , higher acceleration mid-level machines ( GH ). We also manufacture tube processing systems , such as the TM , for smalldiameter tube . We introduced a 5X 3D tube processing machine with a fully automated loading and unloading and storage facility .” n
