Don ’ t miss the new TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 machine tool show in Taipei , Taiwan , from 21-26 February 2022 .
TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 , Taiwan ’ s ‘ largest and only co-branded machine tool show ’, will be held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre ( Halls 1 and 2 ) from 21-26 February 2022 . Around 900 + exhibitors are expected to pack the exhibition halls with 5,200 booths .
“ It will not only be the largest trade show in Taiwan since the outbreak of the pandemic , but one of the most significant events for the global machine tool industry in early 2022 ,” the show organiser told ISMR .
Aside from metal cutting machine tools , machining centres and metalforming machine tools , the TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 joint event will also showcase a line-up of smart machines . Smart machinery is part of the Taiwanese government ’ s “ five plus two ” innovative industries plan .
In response to travel restrictions , TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 will also launch various online services and activities in conjunction with the physical exhibition , including an on-site guide for online visitors ; Live Tour @ Showground ; Live Stage for product launches ; virtual displays and one-on-one online procurement meetings .
A key milestone
For the first time ever , two major machine tool exhibitions in Taiwan , the Taipei International Machine Tool Show ( TIMTOS ) and Taiwan International Machine Tool Show ( TMTS ), will be held at the same time , as TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 .
“ The show will create a ‘ 1 + 1 is greater than 2 ’ synergy for the industry and boost the international status of Taiwan ’ s machine tool industry ,” the organiser explained .
Total exports of Taiwanese machine tools from January to November this year reached US $ 2.525 billion , a massive increase of 29.5 % over the same period last year . TIMTOS and TMTS , two major exhibitions in Taiwan , recently reached consensus to work together to host both shows at the same time , at the same venue , with the common goal to help Taiwanese companies explore global markets .
Over the years , the two trade shows have been held separately in Taipei and Taichung and kept growing in scale . However , due to the pandemic and venue issues in Taichung , both TIMTOS 2021 and TMTS 2020 were presented online instead of as physical exhibitions .
“ As the global machine tool industry is recovering from the pandemic and demand is increasing , industry players are eager for physical events . TIMTOS and TMTS are working together to maximize trade opportunities for exhibitors and visitors .
