Georg UK recruits new engineers
Heinrich Georg( UK) Limited, a UK designer and manufacturer of special purpose machines and programmable dynamometers, has recruited a new senior mechanical engineer, Ian Povey.
Povey joined its Wolverhampton-based team in February 2025 and will primarily support Georg UK’ s existing technical design team. He will be involved in mechanical design and sales proposal support across various Georg equipment including special purpose machines, dynamometers and coil processing equipment. Povey will also be taking the lead in the coordination of various key projects whilst developing his skills and knowledge to support Georg UK’ s new and existing customers.
Andrew Cheadle, Projects Manager, Georg UK, commented:“ Ian’ s previous experience in several of Georg’ s core business sectors means that he will be a tremendous asset to our technical and project teams, whilst also providing knowledgeable support and service to our customers.”
Georg UK also welcomed Mitch Bennett as an installation and commissioning engineer on 6 January 2025. He will primarily support Georg UK’ s existing installation and commissioning team. He will also be involved in machinery construction and site installations across various Georg equipment including special purpose machines, dynamometers and coil processing equipment. Mitch Bennett will focus on service and repairs to Georg customers’ existing equipment.

At its extraordinary meeting on 18 March 2025, the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG appointed Wilfried von Rath as successor to Oliver Burkhard as the new Chief Human Resources Officer and Labour Director. Dr. Axel Hamann was appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of thyssenkrupp AG.
Oliver Burkhard announced last November that he intended to step down from the Executive Board, after many years as CHRO, to focus exclusively on his duties as CEO of thyssenkrupp’ s Marine Systems( tkMS) segment, and to drive the spin-off of tkMS decided by the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG. Dr. Axel Hamann will succeed Dr. Jens Schulte, who has been CFO since June 2024 and the acting CHRO since February 2025. Jens Schulte asked the Supervisory Board of thyssenkrupp AG last December to terminate his appointment to the Executive Board by mutual consent due to his wish to move to Deutsche Börse AG.

Outokumpu has appointed Matthieu Jehl( MBA, M. Sc. Applied Economics, M. Sc. Eng.) as President of the‘ Stainless Europe’ business line and Member of the Outokumpu Leadership Team as of 26 May 2025 at the latest.

Appointment for Jehl at Outokumpu

Matthieu joins Outokumpu from ArcelorMittal, where he served as CEO in different countries within Europe. He also worked with John Cockerill as President for the Energy division.
