Coil processing innovation
Italian coil-processing specialist , Camu Srl , offers industrial cutting lines , slitting lines and cut-to-length lines . It has solid roots with a 44-year history of manufacturing in Italy . Based in Bressanvido , in the Vicenza region , the manufacturer follows a philosophy of continuous innovation to meet new technological challenges and changing requirements in global metalforming and fabrication markets .
CAMU Srl was set up in 1980 by two young brothers and entrepreneurs from Vicenza , Italy : Loris Basso and Fabio Basso . exhibition in Düsseldorf , Germany , from 15-19 April 2024 to showcase its expertise in tailored cut-to-length lines with 4H-6H leveller ; slitting lines ; recoiling and inspection lines ; coil-to-coil and combined lines ; packaging lines ; feeding lines and specialpurpose machines . CAMU lines are used in steel service centres to cut coils and various industry sectors ( such as automotive , construction and appliances ) as well as in modern tube , pipe and profiling centres for open profiles .
CAMU lines can process different types of material ( steel ; high-strength steel ; stainless steel ; galvanized ; pre-painted ; aluminium ; brass ; copper ; tin plate ; CRGO-CRNGO and titanium ) in thicknesses ranging from 0.2- 25mm and widths of up to 2250mm .
CAMU Srl is present in five continents and 97 countries . It has supplied over 820 installed lines . For over 43 years , it has aimed to supply “ the complete coil experience ”.

Versatile arc and TIG welding solution
The new Fronius Ignis 150 / 180 series is designed to be robust and easy to handle . The durable housing keeps environmental factors such as dust and moisture at bay , while the technology inside offers a range of functions designed to facilitate the welding process .
The compact Ignis is available in the 150 A and 180 A power categories . There are also TIG variants for both models for those looking for a mobile TIG welding solution . The Ignis 180 is also available in country-specific versions and can be used in regions with different mains voltages .
“ The first requirement for quality welding is a reliable arc . The Ignis 150 / 180 delivers this even in the event of voltage fluctuations , during generator-powered operation or with up to 100 metre-long grid leads . The integrated Power Factor Correction technology uses the existing mains voltage , improving the power factor . Not only does this make the Ignis extremely energy-efficient , but it also increases the welder ’ s operating range . The Ignis is therefore suitable for use on construction sites , for repair and maintenance work in industry and agriculture or in a home workshop ,” explained welding specialist , Fronius .
A wide range of functions
“ Although the Ignis 150 ( 6.5kg ) and the Ignis 180 ( 8.8kg ) are particularly lightweight and easy to handle , they contain a host of features to make everyday welding easier . Both

systems feature an easy-to-use menu operated via a rotary and push button , which allows users to select their desired parameters , and the seven-segment display clearly displays the settings at all times ,” commented Fronius .
The Ignis also features SoftStart , HotStart and TrackingArc functions to assist welders when they start welding . SoftStart was specially developed for basic electrodes that require a low welding current . HotStart , on the other hand , increases the current for a fraction of a second at the start to enable the electrode to ignite more easily which is useful for rutile and cellulose electrodes .
Like a flashlight , TrackingArc helps to find the exact starting position , for example , when re-igniting after an interruption or after an electrode change . This is especially useful when using non-automatic darkening welding helmets . It also helps to prevent welding errors , such as end-craters or notches , and saves time-consuming rework .
Pulse function
The MMA Pulse function is designed for highquality welding at speed and is also suitable for challenging welding tasks in tight spaces . TIG pulse is also available for the TIG version of the Ignis 180 . The pulsed TIG arc primarily facilitates the welding of very thin materials , since less heat is introduced into the base material .
